Computer or laptop?

Which P.C. do you prefer between the two?

Tony Montana 07-05-2020 03:19 AM

Laptop by far.

I know a high-end computer would be far better for certain things - namely PC gaming - but I've never sought it enough to prioritise one over the convenience of a laptop. Plus the price is too eye-watering.

I use both regularly. Both are useful in the correct circumstances

There is of course another option these days .... a NUC, which has a tiny footprint and is really flexible

PC

Laptop

although had a computer for quite a long time either, very much enjoyed usage for video games on there, but now for some reason i prefer laptop

I find computers are usually way quicker/easier to navigate/less likely to get virus’ than laptops but laptops are just more convenient/cheaper. I will probably get a computer though opposed to a laptop once I have my own place.

Haven’t used a computer since Uni tbh. I switch between Laptop or iPad.

hijaxers 08-05-2020 06:51 AM

Laptop

Jake. 08-05-2020 07:26 AM

Prefer using a desktop, definitely. Far easier. I have a laptop, though.

Oliver_W 08-05-2020 08:38 AM

When I'm inside I use my computer, it's much better and comfortable to use than having it all crammed together.

TiBB on 36 inches must leave an awful lot of empty space.

Tbf 36" is a bit excessive when you're sat 2 feet from the screen, but yeah... mine's 32" 4k and I just can't handle a tiny laptop screen these days. Plus my PC is my pride and joy - my graphics card alone was £600 :joker:.

Also if I do have to use a laptop, it needs to have at least a 17" screen. 15" is hard work and 13" is just unusable.

Marsh. 08-05-2020 11:30 PM

What's hard work about 15?

Kizzy 08-05-2020 11:48 PM

I only have my s5 atm...

Someone built my son a gaming computer about 6yrs ago for £400, it's been brill but it's on its way out, any recommendations for a reasonable priced replacement PC or laptop?

Have you ever tried to have a website, Google, MS Teams, and Netflix all open at once on a 15" laptop? How can I work and watch telly if I can't comfortably have both windows open at once? :nono: think man, think.

Well fancy trying to do all that at once on one screen. Honestly.
