What, in your opinion, is the best TV show of all time?

Despite the muddy ending, it's Game of Thrones for me. SO MANY stand out moments.

oh tough, I think start to finish, character development, ending etc Breaking bad has to be up there. Game of Thrones at it's peak moments was better than BB I thought but not as a whole series. Six feet Under was also a really good whole series. Dexter at one point was my favourite show but the last season ruined it. As for sitcoms Fr Ted

The Royle Family but based on current I'd say Money Heist

Breaking Bad was also excellent

Breaking Bad, nothing compares, groundbreaking interwoven storylines, gripping character and plot-based drama, not one filler episode, expertly crafted and connected wonderfully from start to finish, doesn't get too dreary in its drama either, takes advantage of enjoying its spacious and lively atmosphere.

How many TV shows from the 50s, 60s, 70s 80s and 90s have you watched so you can compare?

I don't count how many TV shows I keep tabs on, it's just comparing it to things I have watched :skull:

The Wire. Brilliant from start to finish I can’t believe it first aired in 2002 and it took me 18 years to find it :skull:

Babayaro. 07-05-2020 01:14 PM

Breaking Bad. It literally does not have a bad episode.

Morgan. 07-05-2020 01:15 PM

Oh pls that's piss above average compared to Breaking Bad in my eyes

The Slim Reaper 07-05-2020 01:22 PM

Sopranos or breaking bad. Changes on which one I've re-watched most recently.

Brother Leon 07-05-2020 01:40 PM

The Wire. Closely followed by The Sopranos.

Game Of Thrones let itself down with the last two seasons.

caprimint 07-05-2020 02:03 PM

Personal favourite is probably American Idol (more so back in the older days though)

caprimint 07-05-2020 02:03 PM

I bet it would be Nashville Star though if I actually could find somewhere to watch it

Captain.Remy 07-05-2020 02:20 PM

Tough one. I grew up with The Wire, The Sopranos, Lost and 30 Rock and love them for so many different reasons.
If I HAVE to keep one, I would say Lost even though the ending wasn't great (that was to be expected, but still). I really got into the fandom, the enigma, the plot, the characters etc
I never got that thrill since (or before), and just for that reason I put it on top.

Reality TV wise, it obviously is Big Brother, because it has taught me the basics of the English language and how to spell "Balloon" :joker: My English grades got better thanks to that and I ended up living in the UK for a while, so I have a personal connection with this show.

Special shout out to Prison Break too, although the last season wasn’t all that great and Person of Interest
