A railway ticket collector died from coronavirus after she was spat at by an irate passenger on the station concourse.
Belly Mujinga, 47, who had suffered long-term respiratory problems, died in hospital on April 5 – 13 days after the alleged assault at London’s Victoria Station.
The mother-of-one and an unnamed colleague was with her at the time and was also spat on, and both went on to contract Covid-19.

Horrendous, poor woman

Murder, plain and simple

Actually its manslaughter but they should face prison

Absolutely horrendous. Unfortunately they’ll no doubt get off with a very lenient sentence.

If they knew they were infected, then it’s murder

Murder is the intent to kill manslaughter is the intent to hurt which leads to death and they wont be able to charge them with murder because they will argue that you cant guarantee someone will die from catching it.

They should charge the person that did that , vile horrible specimen .

Crimson Dynamo 12-05-2020 12:56 PM

Yes the perp was unaware she had respiratory issues so manslaughter

Strictly Jake 12-05-2020 01:01 PM

How disgraceful and incredibly sad

Kizzy 12-05-2020 01:09 PM

I think they'll get the book thrown at them for this and quite rightly, we are living in an era where your saliva is a deadly weapon that should be reflected in sentencing for me.

There is actually no court on this land that would allow a murder charge to go ahead the most they can go for is Manslaughter

Tony Montana 12-05-2020 01:16 PM

Absolutely horrific. The passenger who did that is vile.

They should be charged with the highest degree of manslaughter then. They went in with the intent of giving someone the virus, and didn't care that the person could have health issues.

hijaxers 12-05-2020 02:56 PM

The act of spitting at anyone should result in being charged , nevermind the the act it actually killing someone.

Hope they are punished very severely.

caprimint 12-05-2020 03:02 PM

This is absolutely disgusting

And yes it’s manslaughter not murder

Oliver_W 12-05-2020 03:03 PM

The spitter is a pure scumbag and should already have been charged with minor assault for the spitting itself.

However I agree it's closer to manslaughter than murder.

Amy Jade 12-05-2020 03:16 PM

That is repulsive. I hope the spitter is dealt with and charged with the highest charge legally.

She usually worked in the ticket office but was asked to go on the concourse that day
