I don’t think it’s actually been cancelled yet

It’s certainly been spoiled by the sounds of it though

Were Disney not happy with the reboot having adult themes now that Lizzie is a grown woman and wanted it to be more juvenile or something?

I swear it was sent to Hulu? just like how the new love simon spin-off will be on there as well after it was moved from Disney+

Pretty much, yeah

afaik Hilary asked Disney to move it to Hulu but I don't think any plans have gained traction, so the whole project has stalled for now

I think that was the case but then a few weeks ago (after the rumours about everything kicking off happened) there were pictures online of a zoom call with the original director that Disney removed bc she was the one who wanted to include the adult themes, so basically she was back for negotiations I think
