I've never heard the Apatow era referred to as that. If I heard that, I'd have assumed movies like American Pie, Without a Paddle, Road Trip, Slackers, Harold & Kumar, Dude Where's My Car? etc.

The Apatow crew aren't part of the Frat Pack. The original FP members are Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Jack Black and Owen and Luke Wilson.
