Are you more album or song person?

As in, do you like to listen to an entire album and get to know it etc or just listen to singles you like?

Smithy 02-06-2020 05:39 PM

Depends on the artist, very unlikely to sit through a Zara Larson album but her singles are cute

In general.

I'm guessing you like to sit and listen to the likes of gaga/kelly so I would say your an allbum gal

JerseyWins 02-06-2020 05:44 PM

MUCH more of a song person than albums. There's so many albums I just can't sit through and get tired of even in the best of genres (rap/hip hop)

And I mostly only listen to an album in full once or twice at most :joker:

armand.kay 02-06-2020 05:46 PM

I much prefer listening to whole albums top to bottom in order lmaoo... I do have playlists for different moods but even with them I put the songs in a specific order :skull:

armand.kay 02-06-2020 05:48 PM

and tbh I can't think of many artists where I'd listen to only a few of their songs without perching an album

Jigs 02-06-2020 05:49 PM

In general I'm a song person. I will mostly just pick out the singles/tracks from the album I like the most and then add them to my own curated playlists.

caprimint 02-06-2020 05:49 PM

Albums because so many songs that are great aren't released as singles and it takes more time to get to know/enjoy the other album tracks, so I like to listen through albums as a whole.

Tony Montana 02-06-2020 05:51 PM

I'm more of a song person tbh.

Dogeatdog 02-06-2020 09:21 PM

I’d say I’m more of a song person tbh although it’s always a good feeling when you listen to an album and find a hidden gem on there that should’ve been a single release.

Strictly Jake 02-06-2020 09:26 PM

Defo a song person dont really listen to albums

RileyH 02-06-2020 09:29 PM

Song but I'm trying to listen to more albums

Oliver_W 02-06-2020 09:34 PM

Generally depends, some albums are little gems of perfection and need to be listened to all the way through - I get triggered my Spotify shuffling them

But sometimes I just fancy listening to one song from one album and a couple from another...

Cal. 02-06-2020 09:36 PM

Deffo singles I find most albums boring

Marsh. 02-06-2020 09:38 PM

Songs. I do listen to an album at least once of someone I'm a fan of but when it comes to my library it's all random songs/half albums. If I just bought completed albums my OCD would be triggering from thinking of all those album tracks I don't like that are taking up space.

Jordan. 04-06-2020 12:22 AM

Albums... I'm not checking for artists that can't put out a good body of work outside of singles

While neither are even close to being my favourite artists, two of my favourite "whole albums" are The Fame by Lady Gaga and Sacha Fierce by Beyonce.

But I don't like the extended versions of either, just the originals.

I don't particularly like many of the songs on their own from either album, apart from Halo and Summer Boy, but as a whole both albums are really good.

Morgan. 04-06-2020 10:17 AM

Honestly both. If I’m gonna get into an artist I’ll usually listen to their most popular single just to know I’ll like it, then I’ll listen to their latest album the whole way through.

For daily listening though my library just goes on shuffle, only my top tier artists I’ll regularly revisit a full album listen for.

Daniel-X 04-06-2020 01:49 PM

100% singles, most albums have too much filler tracks.

Nicky91 04-06-2020 01:53 PM

like what Morgan said, bit of both

this year i have gotten JoJo's ''comeback'' album, most songs on that i actually find very nice

Bon Jovi 2020 in Fall this year, what i am also perched for the entire album
