50 years of Dance Music, feel free to post any dance song you like and celebrate it
i'm gonna make this thread based on what i saw last night, in Ultimate Chart Show, this years edition was all about 50 years of Dance Music (1970 till 2020)
feel free to post any dance song you like, celebrate it (and also share some information about the song, artist, other info like music video location or any celeb cameo) |
Right Said Fred, a cover of a german party schlager song ''die immer lacht'' She Always Laughs was from last year, very good to see them still making music together |
Los Del Rio, Macarena ICONIC song and dance of course both are now 72 years old, still actively performing, 58 years in music industry as of this year fun fact, these guys started off with just basic flamenco music with the handclapping beat |
Daft Punk & Pharrell Get Lucky fun facts, one of the daft punk guys is the son of the founder of the band Ottowan (from hits like D.I.S.C.O, Hands Up) the cameo here and some of instrumentals come from Chic's Nile Rodgers also makes Get Lucky very nice, how they gave disco a bit of new life in a more modern version of the genre 10 yrs ago we got this BOP from Agnes Carlsson, instantly feel good song, almost everyone loved it and now 10 yrs later from that one, her making that comeback we all been waiting for basically and delivering (at least for me personally) again |
I adore Agnes's Release Me. a total bop.

Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy 1994 Fun fact: This song was originally released in 1992 reaching #76 in the UK Charts. However, it remained popular in the underground scene and was eventually re-released in 1994 where it hit the #3 spot and then eventually going to #1 a week later. An iconic track  |
