Resident Evil 8: Village
|
I’m always too scared to play Resident Evil games but this does look good. What RE games do you recommend on PS4?

The only thing that concerns me is how many resources from this game will be used in the RE4 remake
But yeah, it looks fantastic. I'm a bit saddened that Capcom have said that it's more action-y since I think RE's recent renaissance came from a return to horror in RE7 and 2 and I hope they don't stray too far from horror again but everything about that trailer was intriguing. I imagine the more supernatural elements will alienate the fans that are determined to hate RE7 but I really like it especially since you know that it's all going to be psychological rather than supernatural. |
Exciting :D

I still need to finish RE:7 :joker:

No Too Dark
Bad in the Dark. Does it ever go in Daylight? |
I found 7 genuinely distressing.

And about the players that will hate the Supernatural elements of the story, I never understand why people pick a Game with Zombies and all sorts of other monsters if they don't want that kinda element in their Video Games?:joker: And for me personally I love all of the Resident Evil Games that I've played, even 5 & 6 as they're well made Games still imo, even if the Horror content in them are incredibly low. I am with you though Dezzy that the trailer looks good. |

6... I think has design and pacing problems that go beyond that and make it a definite dip in quality for the series. It has some sections that are great, but far too many that aren't. |
I really enjoyed Resident Evil 5, despite the fact it was completely action, it was still well-made and had fun modes. RE6 was... disappointing, it threw too many things at the wall, and none of them stuck.
After 6, they needed to dial everything back, I really enjoyed RE7's more local scenario, instead of a worldwide threat, it was a more personal story. |

My biggest issue with 6 personally was sometimes playing the same levels out with different characters, I remember the boss fight on the rooftop where I had to take it on in both Jake & Chris's mode which was deeply frustrating. I did really enjoy Leon & Jake's modes overall though, and Ada's bonus mode was great I thought. |
