oh fgs, I'm all for the BLMs movement but don't make things silly, it cheapens the cause

She could have said "Big companies should have more diversity in their advertising" and it would have sounded more sensible

Livia 16-06-2020 09:49 AM

Three white boys? Don't they have pointed ears? That's hardly representative.

Why not a monkey?

joeysteele 16-06-2020 10:14 AM

I think she'd do better to just hide herself away.
Rarely seems to get much right does she?

Oliver_W 16-06-2020 10:14 AM

and Frosties has a tiger, maybe she should go cry about that too.

The headline not being "Snap, Cracker and Pop" is one of the biggest missed opportunities in modern media history.

In all seriousness, Snap, Crackle and Pop being referred to as "three white boys" is now one of my favourite things about 2020. That's properly made my day :joker:.

Braden 16-06-2020 10:42 AM

Is this a joke?

[Coco the Monkey has been appearing in
TV adverts since 1986, promising 'chocolatey fun' and
drilling the jingle 'I'd rather have a bowl of
Coco Pops' into the nation's collective unconscious.

The mascot also reportedly helped sales of Coco Pops increase by 90 per cent with brand profitability growing fivefold between 1986 and 1992.

The cereal's United States version, Cocoa Krispies,
first appeared in 1958 with a monkey
named Jose as mascot.
After a series of changes, Coco the Monkey became
mascot in 1991, but since 2001, Snap, Crackle and Pop
have been the cereal's mascot.

Former Peterborough MP Ms Onasanya had
been jailed in January 2019 for perverting
the course of justice but spent just a month in prison.]

:skull: shes reaching with this tbh

user104658 16-06-2020 11:44 AM

Tuuby fair, apparently Mr Kellogg was a big ol' eugenicist so there is that :umm2:. Long dead by the time the Coco Pops mascot became a thing, of course.

Crimson Dynamo 16-06-2020 01:02 PM

*Writes to Kellogg's asking if any progress on my suggestion of Special KKK
