CBB is the way forward to grab the public’s attention let’s be real, they need to bring back normal BB if it’s a success though or I’ll fume.

Relaunching with CBB is the only option

It was basically getting DOUBLE the ratings

CH4 will be able to persuade a higher calibre of celebrity then CH5

Just saw this on Twitter, exciting news! If this gets good ratings and Channel 4 can salvage the brand, then we might be able to expect more Civilian Big Brother too.

I’m all for it. Feel like Channel 5 damaged the reputation of civilian BB too much, yet their celeb series remained popular til the end. Another CBB would be the perfect way to gauge interest and hopefully lead to another civvy series. Plus it’d explain the oversaturation of CBB eps on Best Shows Ever.

And on a Channel 4 budget, the calibre of celebs they’d book would hopefully be pretty good.

I'd happily take it as a pathway to a regular series. The show needs a revived interest before jumping straight back in with the same stuff.

I hope this is true. A shame it would be CBB, but CBB got the better ratings.

As for leaving it off air for the time being, doesn't necessarily mean it'll be back on our screens in 6 months. This could still be a year out. The short duration of CBB could be a good start for C4 to test the waters.

I really hope no significant format changes would be in store. I would hate to see Davina in a Chen-bot position. Davina is just too good with the live crowds.

Davina liked this tweet...which at least says that she would be up for presenting again.

They should've done that anyway. A 3 week CBB each January on channel 4 instead of The Jump and all that other ****e.

I still think it might be too early. But I see them starting with the CBB version if they reboot it earlier then later. CBB was still getting over two million at some points.

didn’t german big brother re launch with celebrity big brother and then a few years later they started civvie BB again? Maybe C4 would do that and trial civvie on like E4 or sumn a few years later.

Yeah I’d be here for that. If they can’t rest the whole show they should at least rest the non celeb version

A winter CBB every January would be perfect. We don't need civilian now that we have The Circle and Love Island.

Celebrity Big Brother revival would be amazing

If they're going to do it, they would need to hype it up massively and pump money into it to get a great line-up of actual celebrities. It'll tank if it's the calibre of "celebrity" they had on Ch5 (usually one big name, a couple more recognisable faces, and then a bunch of reality TV people).

For me, relaunching CBB is a mistake, its always hit or miss with the celebrities and these days anyone is a celeb.

Better to bring back a stripped civilan BB on a smaller scale with less expectation than they had before.

Holy **** I just realised if c4 bring back cbb it could end up being a SU2C thing!

That could drastically change the tone and the sort of people who would agree to do the show. Don't suppose that would be a bad thing, CBB1 and CBB2 were for charity and had more famous names than the rest.

What makes you think it would have anything to do with a cancer charity?

Because most if not all c4 "celebrity" reality shows are in aid of Stand Up to cancer now, similarly how a lot of BBC celebrity editions are for comic relied. SU2C didn't exist back when cbb was on c4 so things might, if not probably would be different now.

Connecting it to a charity again like it was at the start might actually be a good way to win round some viewers who might otherwise be dismissive of the format.

I think if they were gonna bring it back though they would start with CBB. It was rating much higher than BB when it was axed.

I do think that an announcement is coming. Replaying episodes for the 20th anniversary of a show no longer on air which they themselves shelved 10 years ago? I can’t imagine them bothering if they aren’t at least planning something.

I'm not being funny but if they revive it then they need Lady Sov as the host
