Big Brother US to change filming location to Love Island US set?

Yes, because a rival production company of a rival show would let them use their set. If CBS approached them for that they'd get a flat out "NO", but an offer to go ahead with the second series of Love Island USA instead.

Actually I'd prefer them to go ahead with Love Island over the summer then use Big Brother in the fall.

Brekkie, you gotta remember that CBS airs both BBUS and Love Island USA; so CBS has a say in stuff.

Yeah, Love Island and Big Brother are both CBS so being "rivals" isn't an issue.

The issue, and the reason why this rumor is full of ****, is that the Love Island Villa just is not equipped at all for Big Brother. The Villa is more about utilizing outdoor space while the BB House is all about utilizing indoor rooms so people can talk strategy in private. I also don't think that the Villa's camera system is designed for a live feed experience because, well, that's not necessarily for Love Island. And where would the Comps take place? Where would the HOH Room be? Where would Julie video into the house for evictions?

The logistics just are not there at all.

CBS is irrelevant - they're the broadcaster, not the producer. It's like Simon Cowell letting The Voice use their set here - might be the same channel but they are rival shows.

And as much as ITV Studios wouldn't want Grodner using their set for Big Brother I highly doubt Grodner would want to be using the Love Island set either.

Macie Lightfoot 12-07-2020 06:17 PM

That would require Grodner to acknowledge ITV Studios, or anything that isn’t based in the US, which she never will

There’s enough co-mingling and crossing over between CBS shows that there really aren’t much of any sort of rivalries, especially when we’re talking about Love Island, a show that was a riveting success with all of its 2 million viewers :joker:
