As a mixed race person myself I can't help but find this sort of crap incredibly patronising.

Seems to be a recently added day on the calendar where black people should go to shops and businesses solely ran by black people LT.

The LGBTQ are well gel I imagine, now the pink pounds been pushed aside.

Just being able to walk down the street without being persecuted for being black or gay would be a better way to live.

I don't think that's what segregation means.

So what if we have a White pound day...what if we have White music awards?....wouldn’t be right would it?. If we all want to be treated the same let’s be one...that’s what we should be doing and aiming for.

White people have been supporting white businesses forever, and white music has been popular for the same amount of time, despite the fact that most of what is known as white music, is actually black music stolen. On top of that, now that Beethoven was actually black, then the white music awards would be a pretty short evening for most of the artists.

Well, considering "whites" are not minorities, no it wouldn't.

Well in my world I see white people support white and black business and I see black people support white and black business.... So why create something like this when it’s really not necessary and just creating a white/black situation....pathetic.
White music is as popular as black music...let’s all enjoy THE music regardless if it’s black or white music. Instead we get people like you make comparisons in your post and trying to ridicule white music. If there was an awards night to celebrate White Music there would be an uproar.....

Sorry...but what difference does that make?

The difference is that award shows like the MOBOs were created to honour and celebrate creations by people who were often overlooked and weren’t respected because of their race, white people and their creations have never had to face that.

These projections of ‘you wouldn’t like it if it was whites only!’ are very correct, but that’s because white only things would be born out of ignorance and racism, rather than being born from a desire to be properly recognised for a change.
