The two ends of the spectrum are both abominations, but I’d rather eat hockey puck steak than bloody steak

Yes I have... meat doesn't really have a 'flavour' unless you marinate it or whatever but the quorn has a GREAT flavour and way nicer texture

Meat has lots of flavour, that's why we love eating it. I might give these a go as an experiment. I can't even imagine they'll taste good, but I think that's my preconceived bias.

I used to be a medium rare person, but I’m leaning more to rare these days. The more cooked it is, the more dry and bland it gets. I have a well done lover in my house and they’re not allowed steak because they don’t deserve it tbh

if its like Quorn mince I wouldn't bother :hmph: and the list of additives :omgno: healthy I don't think so :nono:

Morgan. 30-06-2020 11:09 AM

Steak isn’t meant to be cooked well done so don’t disrespect the meat and cook it like that :oh:

Cherie 30-06-2020 11:10 AM

I would throw up on your steak if I saw blood running of out it :hee:

I can tolerate slight pink maybe, but then steak would be the last thing I would order on a menu

You wouldn’t see blood running out because there’s no blood in steak :hee: All the blood is removed during slaughter, the red liquid is called myoglobin, it’s just a protein that carries oxygen through the muscle :smug: The protein has a red pigment that turns grey the more it is cooked.

Smithy 30-06-2020 11:15 AM

Medium rare

Also the texture of quorn is the worst thing about it :joker:

Still mooing is the perfect level for me.

Hate the way steak feels in me mouth so never eat it!

Educate me!

Medium rare usually, occasionally rare if the steak is a good cut.

They're quite nice, a bit softer texture though to meat

The mince is nice BUT there are so many other better quorn products :dazzler:

I used to like my steak crispy but to save my teeth I now it it medium

Crimson Dynamo 30-06-2020 12:56 PM

Like alll my food

Cooked

Not a bloody afterbirth mess pissing competition

Also with fine English mustard and a cab sauv

:)

Jigs 30-06-2020 03:02 PM

I rarely eat steak but I like it medium. Well-done is too chewy and rare is just rank!
