new microsoft edge browser?, is it a must to download?
since i'm still happy with older version of microsoft edge :conf:
and what i read about the newer version, can't really say i need it that much, nothing any more different than what i currently have |
also before downloading new version, i want to know more things about that
especially if my current settings move over into the new edge, since i got a list of favourite sites you know, and i'd like to keep those so until i know more about that, i am not downloading that, and microsoft hopefully can stop stamming me with that version or else i am not downloading that at all |
yes it is very good and has been widely well-received
all faves will be kept and seamlessly moved over |
there really is no difference between Edge and Edge chromium, other than in negative aspect for chromium
- it lacks a consistent way of updating the browser, something what Edge does have - also some had problem like once updated onto chromium you can't go back and uninstall my Edge has same update package in it as of now, for example microsoft rewards new feature also this one i currently use is still same fast as when i bought current laptop, even more so had a lot of improvements since then which i am really pleased about i like the favourites bar where it is placed too, took me a while though to find it but now it is very easy access i don't get criticism for edge at all by other people |

For everyday casual browsing, you WANT google server connectivity. For times when you might not want Mr Google on your shoulder, you surely don't want Mr Microsoft on your shoulder either... and should be using something more robustly designed for privacy. I mean each to their own I guess but there have been decent Chromium builds for years for those who don't want to use actual Chrome - I don't get the appeal of one that uses a MS skin and Win10 style menus - which are horrible. yes you obvs have to change the search from dreadful Bing to Google
from the get go |
Avoid Edge
use Firefox or Google or Maxthon. |
or seamonkey
|
EdgeHTML is fine, don't understand criticism
bing search is also nice there i'll keep it as it is now, and something like internet browsers should not be a must, the only updates what should be a must are some of major security updates i mean, when ur happy with current browser, you don't need to change i guess, but everyone has their own choices in this too |

i've decided to stick with EdgeHTML
my mom has the chromium one and she doesn't like it that much but now she is stuck with it on her laptop i've also checked the differences and that one is more chrome based, and lol i've never liked chrome myself, tried it once but found it annoying |
microsoft becomes very irritating now, trying to force me into downloading chromium **** off
i have nothing with annoying stupid chrome, so i won't download edge-chromium i am still happy with edge-html as it is now :idc: |

article is in dutch, so i'll translate it was very helpful to me reading this it says, Microsoft will both continue to operate on old ''Edge-HTML'' and ''Edge-Chromium'' more good for business, to get both customers who like HTML (like me) AND those who like ''chrome based products'' |

older Edge browser, and also Internet explorer 11 will not be replaced, but they will still also get security updates i just read over here and due to people's complaints on Chredge, some can now choose to Uninstall it and then they will get older edge browser again kinda what i wanted to hear, about security updates still being done in older browsers too |
