Waitrose is a lovely supermarket

Took my old mum to waitrose today, her first supermarket visit since Feb. I like going there as people SD well and are polite, the staff are super lovely and the stuff is great quality. As we were loading up at the till a staff member came and gave my mum a lovey bunch of flowers for no reason :flowers:

so nice

I will email head office to say thanks

Always go there when I'm running low on quail's eggs.

Crimson Dynamo 08-07-2020 06:23 PM

annoyingly, that is quite funny

caprimint 08-07-2020 06:28 PM

Most overrated supermarket :suspect:

The staff in Waitrose are usually very professional. If ever you wanted something they always took you there rather than just saying “Aisle 10”....
Over the last couple of years other supermarkets have aspired to their service...although some have dropped their standards again.

Bloody love Waitrose.

The butterscotch & pecan yum yum in their bakery is delicious.

M&S >>>>>

Although tbf I've never actually shopped in a waitrose just because theres none near, I love m&s for our weekly shop though

cheap crap is over priced

Crimson Dynamo 08-07-2020 07:34 PM

why tolerate cheap crap that is awful?

Marsh. 08-07-2020 07:35 PM

Why pay extortionate prices for the same products wrapped in nicer packaging?

Get to Asda LT

Nice groceries ridiculously priced. A pack of sausages for almost £3.50 is a joke when I can get a whole 1.5k chicken from Aldi for £2.49.

Its not. Sometimes you can get chicken weighing over 1.5k for £2.49 still. I've even queried this with the staff who see nothing wrong. The last one I bought for £2.49 weighed almost 2k. Or I could get six sausages for £3.50. That is a no brainer of a deal.

I’m too poor to shop at Waitrose so I go Iceland’s or Farmfoods instead

i have a waitrose local to me and you can get stuff there that is just not available in other supermarkets. So it's good for that type of shopping

Its a great supermarket do most of our shops there, their hygiene standards are excellent aswell.

The staff get a profit bonus share and the politer they are they get a higher tier of pay.

It’s over rated and over priced.

Tbh this applies to most of the other supermarkets as well, definitely Asda/Morrisons/M&S/Aldi anyway
