TiBB Music Festival: Copenhagen 07
9, 11, 12, 14, 16, & 21 August 2020

It is time to let the competition begin again! I, with Shaun's knowledge AND Riley's (Wizard) lovely ideas, decided to create a spiritual successor to TiBB Eurovision. We've been in Pittsburgh, the Gold Coast, Belgrade, Oslo, Manchester, and Rome and Milan. Cut to next month, and we'll be in Copenhagen celebrating one year of TiBB Music Festival! What songs will be heard? Where are the constant translations into French? When will the madness end? No idea.

FORMAT

The format of the TiBB Music Festival will remain similar to TiBB Eurovision, however, there are some changes. I will have a Spotify playlist of all of the songs for you to listen to the songs during the 2-6 day voting periods. For the voting, there will also be 2 sets of points of 1-8, 10, and 12 points, one for the jury voting, and the other for the televoting.

RULES

- If you want to take part, reply to this thread with the countries you want! But please, if you do reserve a country, I expect an entry.
--From this edition onwards, everyone can choose 2-9 countries to participate as.
- In a change from TiBB Eurovision, participants can now choose a song that is already in the public database (look on Spotify or YouTube, there are plenty of songs on either one).
- Lyrics, an artist name, song title AND music video are all that's required.
- Members may only represent between two and seven countries.
- Entries must be submitted to me as soon as possible. The events of the contest will take place over the course of a 2 week period.
- And for the first time since Globalvision, countries that are not in Europe or Australia will be able to participate.

- For the first time (in order to cut down on editing one video), there will be two semi-finals, and they will be posted on the same day. And there will now be a second chance round

You have as much time as you need to find your entries. Please find songs that we all may enjoy, and please don't feel afraid to take part The more entries, the more fun it is to run. Songs can be about anything you like, and whilst we are fairly liberal with what is deemed "in good taste" obviously a song containing 30 different death threats may well find itself lost in my inbox and doomed never to enter.

The winner of this glorious festivity shall also receive a supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics this lovely little award (which has been potentially lost in the TiBB Admin towers)! https://i.imgur.com/pCZ1tmH.png - so if that isn't motivation to bring your A-game, I don't know what is.

Like last edition, the Big 6 (the top 6 of the previous edition) will all qualify for the final. All of the countries mentioned below will be free game (sans all of the ones I have, because some things never change with me, and because of the nature of the new participation rule).

Nicky91 10-07-2020 07:16 AM

Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Slovenia, Serbia, Uganda, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg pls

Nicky91 10-07-2020 11:09 AM

i can post some information on my artists already

- for Belgium, a band Clouseau (of brothers Koen & Kris Wauters) Koen is a coach too at the voice van vlaanderen, they represented Belgium at 1991 eurovision contest with ''geef het op''

- for Netherlands, it is a rock band Di-Rect, this song has been used a lot through the coronacrisis, and also the veterans day anthem for this year

- for Greece, Irini Papadopoulou is a new rising greek popstar, this song was co-written by israeli Doron Medalie, the man behind Netta (Toy) Nadav Guedj (Golden Boy) Hovi Star (Made of Stars) Eden Alene (Feker Libi) all those israeli eurovision entries

- for Serbia, Zeljko Joksimovic took part at eurovision twice (Lane Moje in 2008) and (Nije Ljubav Stvar in 2012 which notably got 2nd place behind Loreen euphoria)

- for Slovenia, the guy Gasper is a new talent, but Eva Boto is a familiar face she took part at eurovision in 2012 for slovenia with ''verjamem'' but failed to qualify

- for Uganda, this man Frank Magic is a well known songwriter of his country, this song btw gives me loads of Shaggy music vibes

- for Azerbaijan, Eldar won eurovision in 2011 with Nikki and song ''running scared'' he's back now with new music, and he had a collab here with electropop duo VoColor

- for Luxembourg, Slimane is a coach at The Voice France, Vitaa had been one of judges at destination eurovision, this song avant toi is about soulmates, very emotional typical French ballad

Josiah. 10-07-2020 03:45 PM

OP updated.

Josiah. 10-07-2020 03:52 PM

And with Nicky's entries, we have a provisional 37 countries (a record), and 25 confirmed countries.

Calderyon 10-07-2020 05:49 PM

Only 5 actual players though.

Josiah. 10-07-2020 06:04 PM

Yeah. Hopefully Maia will chime in.
