Is the report function broken?
 

I’ve reported posts which are blatantly trolling or which add nothing to a discussion (which I’ve been infracted for in the past) yet the posts are still there :conf:

could you not have messaged a mod/admin about it?

that's the advice you would give in a dire situation like you have on your hands

I don’t know who is a mod anymore or when admin are online, plus if I make a thread other people who are in the same situation can post about it :smug:

I've had the same issue in the past few months.

I have reported posts when a mod has been online and they haven’t been deleted, so either they are no longer a mod or they are ignoring the report, at least here all mods and admin can see it and look into the issue
If you don’t have anything constructive to add maybe you should go post elsewhere, these types of posts don’t add anything to the conversation

Smithy I just checked, you reported two posts in the last 10 days or so, one was deleted the other wasn't as it really wasn't a rule break, it was just someone posting a :joker: after someone elses posts so unless there was more posts you reported that we didn't actually get, no the report button isn't broken

Well, I guess it depended on what you were laughing at, the post that the :joker: was posted at wasn't at all offensive :shrug:

Also I’m pretty sure I reported a 2/3 posts last week :shrug:

I’m guessing that :joker: added something to the discussion then? How can posts by anyone be infracted for that reason, but others aren’t?

I looked back at the recent post where you got infracted and it wasn't really the same because it was part of posts that insulted someone directly, rather than just agreeing with a statement disagreeing with a post.

It's against the rules to discuss infractions on the forum

Its also against the rules to bait and troll but that seems to go awash with people.

I rarely report...but I did last week and it was dealt with immediatly...
