Pets and their eating habits

We have a pet cockatiel called Chelsea and she loves her food. She has some unusual tastes for a bird.

Likes a few cornflakes in a morning and will also nibble on bits of pie and pizza. Also partial to the occasional crisp.

How about your pets?

My cat is funny about his drinking water, when I got him first he wouldn't drink from a bowl, he would jump on the counter next to the sink and wait for you to turn the tap on, I didn't want him jumping up there every time he wanted a drink so I got him a water fountain and he was happy with that for years but now he's decided he doesn't like that anymore so now he jumps into the bath and cries until someone turns the tap on for him. He also likes to drink out of a glass.

The dog will eat anything from anywhere at anytime [emoji28]

Poodles are the most fussiest eaters. Leo is not so bad he really loves cakes for some reason but Bob would turn his nose up at KFC if it’s offered to him.

My lovely bulldog is a fussy one!

She won’t eat certain brands nor will she eat the meat and mixer together, you have to put them separate. She eats her meat about 5pm and then bring her bowl in for you to fill with mixer about 10pm EVERY NIGHT. :joker:

Aww. Love hearing about all your lovely pets. Xx

A weirder eating habit is my tarantula can go like 6 months without a single thing. Mad!

AnnieK 21-07-2020 07:56 PM

My cats are massive pains....they will go mad for months for a particular brand of food then both will decide simultaneously that they will just not eat it any more then it takes ages to find something they will eat again.

One of them is a hunter though and will eat what he hunts....he's a beautiful pure white cat and the sight of him coming home will blood on his face from what he's eaten is awful

My cat is a ****ing freak. She loves muffins and cakes, she literally breaks into packets if they're left out, and will hassle you for a plate of crumbs if you have a piece.

My boy cat is like that with water too, but when he drinks from the tap he inhales the water and chokes because he gets so excited. We've been thinking of getting him a fountain but we aren't really sure if he'll even use one.

Rosie will just eat anything. It doesn't have to be food.

Her latest adventure was going fo a nice run on the beach only to have to stay on lead the whole time - because a load of little jellyfish had washed up and she clearly thought they looked delicious.

My rabbits have moments where they wont eat for a couple of days and actually pick their food bowl up and throw it upside down!

Livia 22-07-2020 10:34 AM

My dog has eaten everything we've ever offered him, except a raspberry.

My cat Louie loves melon.

My dog always carries the food from her bowl in her mouth to the living room and eats it on top of her blanket. A particular queen!

Our budgie goes crazy if he hears a packet rustling because he loves crisps so thinks anything that sounds like that is crisps

I dont like giving him much crisps due to the salt content

Mystic Mock 26-07-2020 06:28 AM

My Cat loves anything remotely Chocolate.

Any loose bits drop on the floor and you have to race to pick it up before she eats it.

My dog wont drink normal water only bottled.

She literally sniffs normal water and walks away.
