if Coronavirus hadn't been a thing in the last 5 months , what would you have done?

How would your life be different?

mine would have looked pretty much the same.

Ate Bat soup

I would've been back in America, had a Birmingham trip booked in April too, but wasn't to be.

LaLaLand 03-08-2020 12:37 AM

Had a 30th Birthday party
Gone to USA for said 30th
Seen Andy Warhol's exhibition at the Tate in London
Had a tattoo in June (now having October)
Had a week away on the coast in a posh lodge
Attended my uni bestie's wedding

My life would have probably been worse. I had a lot of weight on my shoulders before going into lockdown, and it at the very least gave me an opportunity to slow down and breathe a little.

user104658 03-08-2020 12:52 AM

Kids would have been at school... Otherwise not really any different. I work from home anyway most of the time and my wife has been working as normal throughout.

I won't lie, working from home with kids around the whole time hasn't been the easiest thing in the world... But it hasn't exactly been hard either. Just not as leisurely as my work usually is :umm2:.

joeysteele 03-08-2020 07:34 AM

Working much more actively obviously.
I'd have been traveling to and fro to Republic of Ireland to see my Mother.
Who fortunately I got over here to be with me here, before the lockdown.

Then would have had a holiday probably.

All can be done once all is safer again.

Cherie 03-08-2020 07:35 AM

missed a few holiday, sons 21st is on hold.. a few social gatherings other than that nowt

MB. 03-08-2020 07:39 AM

Been sticking strangers' fingers in my mouth

bots 03-08-2020 07:53 AM

I've been very busy with work, missed out on a few social gatherings and a few trips but it's all manageable

Ammi 03-08-2020 07:55 AM

...not had any fingers stuck in my mouth for 5 months...

Ammi 03-08-2020 07:56 AM

The Slim Reaper 03-08-2020 09:45 AM

I would have flown over to Wuhan for a drop of bat soup.

Ammi 03-08-2020 09:48 AM

...so it’s all because of you and your bat soup sucking ways...Count Covid De Slim...

caprimint 03-08-2020 09:55 AM

I would've gone back to London sooner (not yet, but still earlier than I will do)

Also while being at home I would've gone out a lot more to places like Birmingham, Solihull etc

Captain.Remy 03-08-2020 03:12 PM

Have a lot of birthday parties, specifically 30 y-o ones (thank God mine was in January!)
Been to many places already booked/planned.
Go to Iceland as summer holidays (damn it)
Not to worry about my wedding cancelled or not (so far it's not as it is still planned for October)
Just go out eating, rooftops, bars etc The daily stuff.

But it's all manageable in the end.

Ammi! We're not used of you writing stuff like that :joker:
But go on, do you girl!

Scarlett. 03-08-2020 03:15 PM

Gone on holiday, still had a job, and would have had my 2nd Dad home all this time

UserSince2005 03-08-2020 03:17 PM

I would have probably burnt out.
Instead i get paid the big bucks to work from home, and I love it.
Long may it continue.

Same here, hence I post more on Tibb :joker:

But work before all of that was too insane and I kept pushing myself.
Now I take time to do stuff, I still don't go to the gym so I have even more free time to cook, plan the last bits of my wedding etc. At 6pm I log out and enjoy my night. No more crazy hours.
And I'm not even a bad manager, I don't crazily check what my employees do on a daily basis. Weekly Teams meetings are enough. I know some managers that are control freaks and it's horrible.

Vanessa 03-08-2020 05:28 PM

I would have gone to Italy on holiday :bawling:

Crimson Dynamo 03-08-2020 05:47 PM

But ah well what can you do

Marsh. 03-08-2020 06:20 PM

Put my fingers in Ammi's mouth.
