Pizza Express to shut

Nicky91 04-08-2020 09:07 AM

understandable, but also very saddening for those people who are at risk losing their jobs

but can't they go for a alternate solution like deliveries at home, i mean for the company to stay alive at least

delivery services here are blooming more than ever like PostNL, DHL, DPD, but also to be more on topic, Pizza companies like Domino's who also have more orders than before, people staying at home and still wanting to order foods of course, even drive throughs at McDonalds, Burger King doing quite well here too, very handy people to pick up foods from the safety of their cars

delivery service, drive through could be a huge source of income these current times for UK, US too i guess

Yes this has
been going on for a long time
as the massive debts built up,
it was sadly on the cards.

Some Pizza Express are lucky to stay open

...very, very sad with the job losses...in my local town, much of the town centre had become eating places../bars, restaurants, cafes etc as high street retail started to fade...and now.......

...I wonder about the one in Woking, apparently Prince Andrew was campaigning for it to stay open...

Yes, they should do a delivery service.
I have ordered it before on deliveroo.
Their pizza is excellent.

i never like the pizzas from them so i'm not very surprised

Strictly Jake 04-08-2020 11:05 AM

To be honest the last time I went to one the pizza was awful!! And the service was shockingly rude

Shaun 04-08-2020 02:21 PM

not completely, as the thread title suggests then

wouldn't be much loss either way, their pizza sucks

Daniel-X 04-08-2020 02:24 PM

I went once and thought it was overpriced crap, shame about the loss of jobs tho :(

Dogeatdog 04-08-2020 02:25 PM

I’ve never actually been to a Pizza Express restaurant I’ve always just had the chilled pizzas they do that you can buy from supermarkets. I think they’re alright tbh but it’s sad for all the workers that may lose their jobs.

UserSince2005 04-08-2020 02:26 PM

Pizza Express doesnt work in this day and age and i think it as simple as people want to go to italian sounding pizza restaurants rather than American sounding ones.

kids nowadays eat takeaway, times have changed, back when i was in my 20s going out for a pizza was the thing to do with a girl but now its lets get a takeaway and take pics of it and record ourselves dancing to a motown number in a post ironic way

:skull:

Sad for the loss of jobs but pizza express isn't the best

Last time I went to one was in london (near Madame Tussauds) and the wait was so long and the pizza was so meh for the price.
