Anyone else sometimes put bins twice out twice?

The first time = the wrong ones so the neighbour copies and gets it wrong, and then put the actual bins out later?

no its in my calendar on my phone

Josy 06-08-2020 07:04 PM

The title gives me a headache

But no, alexa tells my husband when and what bins to put out

I can't make any sense of what the hell you're trying to say?

You put the wrong bins out on purpose?

Smithy 06-08-2020 07:14 PM

That’s a bit sad

Crimson Dynamo 06-08-2020 07:26 PM

Dogeatdog 06-08-2020 07:45 PM

We recycle and ours are supposed to go out every Thursday

1 week = General waste/ food waste
Next week = Cans/ bottles + Paper/cardboard.

Sometimes though they don’t even turn up.

Cherie 06-08-2020 07:56 PM

our bins and recycling are taken the same day each week, so it would be pointless putting the wrong bins out

I'm a bit colour blind so I just leave them all out as a trip hazard all week.

Trash bags go to the bin house.

Our green bin only gets collected every three weeks which isn't enough so ... I put that out twice ... :umm2:. I fill both the green bin and the brown bin (garden waste which we don't use as we have a gardener who removes waste)... and I live on a t-junction corner... so I put the green bin in front of my house and perch at the window waiting for it to be taken. The bin truck then turns left down a cul-de-sac and I sneak out, transfer the remaining bags from the brown bin into the now-empty green bin, and put it back out on the road to the side of the house. Meanwhile the truck goes down the cul-de-sac, turns at the bottom, and heads back up past my house the other way, re-emptying the green bin on the way past :hehe:. They either have never noticed that there's an "extra bin" without a corresponding house or perhaps just don't care :joker:.

This is not what you meant but a story I thought I'd share :hee:. Dinnae tell the coonsill.

TS running down the garden path like a giddy kid on Christmas morning to trick the binmen is peak 2020

Oliver_W 11-08-2020 01:32 PM

If I do a buttload of gardening and fill the grey bin ages before it's emptied, I wait until nighttime and wheel it out to the church's yard, and ring the council next day to say it was pinched.

Usually barefoot, if that adds to the imagery.
