Ian's Mental Health

Has it deteriorated?

He seems very strange, a lot of rocking and negative body language.
He seems like a broken man.

He was probably like this last time but we didn't get to see it due to feeds not starting until one week in.

He's also older and more aware of the game, so that will be added pressure for him.

I think he'll be fine, though.

He has revealed he has autism

The rocking isn't anything new at all. Anyone who watched 14's feeds can attest to how much he rocked in the hammock and all of his other stimming. He admittedly has autism and as obvious as it was eight years ago, he absolutely was not at full acceptance of it and went through a lot of tough **** with this show's awful fandom documenting all of his stimming and other behaviors and basically armchair diagnosing him. Inside the house, he was also very young (I think 21?) and I would *never* want my early 20s documented on television. Let's not forget that as much as we loved Dani in 13, she was only 20 years old in 8 and she was a petulant brat even by her own admission. Ian was only 21 and took a long time to acclimate to the house and become comfortable, and even then he was a punching bag for the rest of the house to make fun of, even if it was often "in jest." I think we also need to remember that it's only been four days and normally we don't even see the feeds until like Day 8 or Day 9, so this is the first time we're really seeing the HGs adjust to being back in the house.

I also wonder how much of the reaction to his win did a number on him. On top of everything mentioned above, his win was against someone who is regarded as one of the best players ever and who many people think was robbed. He was a very socially awkward 21 year old who I'm sure perceives his own win as very underdog and like David slaying Goliath, but then a large part of the random is very vocal about how he shouldn't have won. That's tough for anyone to handle and come to terms with.

They haven’t been outside in four days and he vomited because of slop yesterday (seriously is this actually necessary? seems in poor taste given health consciousness atm)

Sensory overload?

I think the fact they’ve still not had any backyard time after almost a week in there will be playing into it too. From what I understand he was in the garden a lot during 14, and ive heard him say this week that he’s itching just to have that extra space.

He’s also very adamant that he can’t complain or moan about the Have-Not situation, because he never once complained in BB14 and he doesn’t want to seem like he’s ‘above it’ or being annoying.

Yeah, being on indoor lockdown for this long is not easy, but at the same time Ian refused Pepto-Bismol because he doesn't want any special treatment.

I think Twitter being all "PLEASE let Ian outside he's going crazy :( :( :(" is kinda gross and patronizing. He did this show when he was 21 and he knew what he was getting into this time. He's having a hard time but he will be fine.
