Just announced

Liam- 11-08-2020 08:29 PM

The best choice imo

Josiah. 11-08-2020 08:31 PM

I am not surprised about this decision, as I thought the final pick was between Kamala and Susan Rice.

LaLaLand 11-08-2020 08:37 PM

Great choice!!

Brother Leon 11-08-2020 08:42 PM

Her record and history on Criminal Justice and generally Policing The Police has shown she’s happy enough to follow the status quo, so no real shock there. I think she will easily avoid saying anything stupid and will make herself look capable enough, which at this rate is all her and Biden need to do tbh.

Liam- 11-08-2020 08:50 PM

She’s gonna skewer Pence at the VP debates

LeatherTrumpet 11-08-2020 08:55 PM

Lol

UserSince2005 11-08-2020 08:58 PM

Is she black enough?
*Tick*
Congrats you're VP

Congrats you're VP

You've gone on about "black" for a lot of your posts. She didn't get the job based on her skin colour.

...I’m not hugely up on American politics in general but I read a bit about her and she seems okay...I think it was Leon who said that she seems like a follow the status quote, type person and that seems to be the best that politics offers atm...good luck to her and congratulations on her new position...hopefully she’ll do her country proud.....

bitontheslide 12-08-2020 05:52 AM

is it better than the Trump/Pence combination? Honestly, i think it's a toss up, but I feel that Biden/Harris are more likely to at least adhere to the constitution and be much less divisive ... so that gets them a tick from me, but then, i'm not American .... They have had so much crap to deal with over the last few years and the last 6 months have been a nightmare and, that to me will shape everything

Elliot 12-08-2020 08:57 AM

There were worse options

The Slim Reaper 12-08-2020 11:04 AM

Not a huge fan of KH, but not a terrible choice.

Fox news doing what fox news does.

Tom4784 12-08-2020 01:14 PM

An uninspiring choice but I'm glad it's not Elizabeth Warren, at least. Hopefully Kamala lives up to her stances and actually pulls for police reform.

Trump is one of the worst presidents in US history and possibly one of the worst world leaders in human history. I don't see how anyone could think that Biden and Harris could be worse.

bitontheslide 12-08-2020 02:11 PM

So far Trump has called her a horrible nasty woman and Biden is being called a racist ..... Then we have the Trump campaign who simultaneously said that she would be soft on crime and law and order while criticising her for being too tough as a prosecutor ..... and that's day 1

It's going to get crazier, Trump's fighting for his life at this point. If he loses, him and a number of his kids are likely heading to prison.

GiRTh 12-08-2020 09:26 PM

KH on CNN right now ripping into Trump. So tactics are she attacks, sleepy Joe appears Presidential. Who cares just as long as it gets rid of the incompetent twat in the White House

...White House adviser, Jenna Ellis, has said that Kamala Harris sounds like Marge Simpson.../...like a cartoon character...

...so it all just got serious with Marge stepping her political foot into the arena...

This is why I love the Simpsons

Just when you think American politics can't get any more ridiculous.

 I mean im not going to pretend like i know that much about American politics, but i know this VC appointment is a pretty bad choice.

bitontheslide 17-08-2020 01:43 PM

i think Harris is a pretty smart pick for VP. I know nothing of her competence but she is a good communicator and she sits there like a red rag to all of Trumps prejudices

...no I have to say that I’m not huge on American politics either...but I did google Kamala Harris when she was chosen and read a little about her... in the vid though, when she kept repeating..’It WAS a DEBATE’, in such a childish, but mocking and condescending way...?...she didn’t look politically great for the position she’s just been given....it was a perfectly valid question as well...’how does it fit with you previously opposing so strongly and now you’re working with...’...I would have probably asked something like that as well.....

she wasn't wrong though, it was a debate  ... she could have equally said that she had her fingers crossed or that it was raining outside

....yeah it was a debate, I realise that...but what we look for in our key political people of note...?...is not ‘great debate skills’...mind you, they couldn’t have been that great skills either, because she lost the debate as well......any old way it’s flipped, it was an awful answer and quite condescending and childish, they way she kept emphasising the word...

Yes i agree, i had a bit of read, she seems shady as hell. She doesn't come across well in debates, and has (from what i've read) done more harm to the black rights movement in America. Keeping young black men in jail longer than their sentences, or putting over 1000 (mainly black) men in jail for Marajauna smoking offences. She seems like someone more suited to Trump. She might argue his ridiculousness, but most do, that isn't going to help Biden win imo.

The first election i ever took any notice of was Obama/McCain, and McCain VP's choice was intended to achieve a certain vote, which backfired royally. History has a serious chance of repeating itself here!

Also, Obama was taped saying .... don't underestimate Biden's ability to **** it all up ... so that doesn't help

Jailing people for smoking weed whilst laughing in an interview about how she used to smoke it.
