Do you say Thank you or Cheers.
Or something else?
I say thank you mostly but sometimes cheers! |
Most of the time I say "Cheers, thanks" :skull:
|
To be specific: Thanks usually
Cheers is more for when you're toasting to something around here |
“Cheers man” or “cheers mate” 80% of the time
But “thank you” to women :joker: |
Both.
|
I usually say "Murky Bowcup!"
|
...’thank you‘ most of the time...but sometimes I’ll say ‘cheers me dears‘....
|
I got into an Uber once and went “alright man (destination) please”
Looked up and it was a 40 year old woman :skull: unconscious bias in action |
Tah
|
......did she say cheers or thank you, Jack..?...
|
Me hanging up the phone: “cheers, thanks, bye”
|
Either "thank you" "thanks very much" "thanks a lot" "cheers" or "ta"
|
"thank you"
I honestly hate when people say "cheers" in that way, it's soooo cringe |

I have said cheers.
However it's near always thank you. |
Context is everything surely :suspect:
|
Thanks or ta.
Cheers if it is appropriate. |
When working in customer service I liked to mix it up between thanks/thank you/cheers for variety but one time I accidentally said "Cheese" - quite clearly enunciated - and then was too scared to say "cheers" again for months.
Never "ta", I am not a toddler. |
Just "Thanks / Thank You" usually. Not really a cheers person, unless I have an audience.
|
Both, plus “ta” and “diolch” or “diolch yn fawr iawn” depending on the severity. :joker:
|
Both..depends
