surprised there wasn't a thread on here about this

i know some belarusian people on escforum, one told regarding the latest situation there, people can get arrested over nothing, its very dangerous out there, those people from that forum are protesting themselves, as army had invaded their store, arrested some of their employees (just for being anti-lukashenko) lukashenko had released some of those protesters who were in jail, but protests go on, and they demand the release of all political prisoners in the country

Nicky91 17-08-2020 08:55 AM

the white/red flag what you see is the unofficial belarusian flag according to the protesters

i'm doubtful that they will get rid of the president as he has russian support, but good luck to them

Speaking Russian fluently, I can tell the situation is bad, like really bad when you read articles or people online. But he's not going to step down. If anything, Russia will intervene one way or another to make the protests stop.

then he needs to be forced out of presidency and him directly moved to the nearest happy home where this nutjob belongs

even polish president Duda listens to the opposition and he had proven to be quite right wing at first, i mean over there belarusians are protesting too and Duda won't do much about those protests

You go tell that to a dictator and see how you get out of his office.

The Slim Reaper 23-08-2020 05:54 PM

People of Belarus fighting to keep Russian influence out, while the people of the UK keep voting for a party that needs to keep Russian influence in.

bitontheslide 23-08-2020 05:56 PM

i think it's important to document the scale of the protest, but, unfortunately, I don't think it will end well
