Favourite big supermarket

As it says in the title.

Asda

Beso 19-08-2020 05:56 PM

Sainsburys, just cause I mistakenly bad mouthed them the other week.

Morrisons, their own brand flavoured sparkling water is the best and their fresh counter chilli cheese bites >>>>

Nice layout too.

I don’t know why Tesco seems to be all the rage these days.

Beso 19-08-2020 06:01 PM

Tesco is just so unappealing to me...they make the least effort to make your shopping trip less horrific than it should be.

Morrison’s. It’s utterly fantastic.

Morrisons.
Wide aisles,
good own brand,
cheap deals,
and just a good northern supermarket.

The reduced section is gorgeous I’m obsessed. Bought 4 boxes of strawberries at 10p each and they all lasted two weeks  They always have a perfectly good loaf of bread for like 3p as well that I can use to make breadcrumbs or just for toast :cheer2:

Sainsburys or Morrisons

Josy 20-08-2020 02:12 PM

M&S

Dunnes Stores

Tesco is the only one of those shops we have over here but I never shop there

Dogeatdog 20-08-2020 02:23 PM

Morrison’s for quality but Asda, Farmfoods and Iceland’s are better for prices imo.

user104658 20-08-2020 02:47 PM

For general selection and quality, Sainsburies. Although there's a huge Asda relatively nearby that I like for the sheer volume of stuff it has - but the layout is a nightmare. Tesco was right next to my old workplace so I know it like the back of my hand so if I want a lazy, mindless shop I tend to gravitate there because it means I don't have to "look for things". I could stack those shelves myself without instructions :joker:.

Harrods

Crimson Dynamo 20-08-2020 03:08 PM

I voted Tesco as they stock better magazines than the others but i also love Aldi and Waitrose

caprimint 20-08-2020 03:14 PM

Tbh Asda's range is SO much better than any of the others as well as the prices... like you can find different stuff there you'd never find in the other stores

Niamh. 20-08-2020 03:22 PM

I used to shop in Safeway back when I lived in London, do they exist anymore?

Omg I remember Safeway from when I was really young. It was always Safeway and Kwik-save but I don't think either exist anymore :worry:

Kate! 20-08-2020 03:31 PM

asda

Kazanne 20-08-2020 03:43 PM

Waitrose.

hijaxers 20-08-2020 04:00 PM

I shop at M & S , Sainsbury and Aldi . M & S every week and Sainsbury /Aldi alternate weeks.

caprimint 20-08-2020 04:05 PM

As a ranking I'd say

Asda > Tesco > Aldi > Morrisons > Sainsburys > Co-op > M&S > Lidl > Waitrose
