Text or call?

What do you prefer doing? Texting or calling?

Marsh. 21-08-2020 03:51 PM

Both for different reasons.

Niamh. 21-08-2020 03:53 PM

Texting usually, well it depends who it is I suppose. I only put do not disturb on my phone when I'm going to sleep

Dogeatdog 21-08-2020 03:54 PM

Depends on the situation tbh. I prefer texting but it’s a bit long when your drunk.

caprimint 21-08-2020 03:57 PM

ALWAYS call tbh

Crimson Dynamo 21-08-2020 04:10 PM

Jake. 21-08-2020 04:16 PM

JerseyWins 21-08-2020 04:19 PM

I prefer texting a biiit but it really depends so definitely both for the poll

user104658 21-08-2020 05:07 PM

I prefer texting for conversation but phone for convenience. I've started calling people for work purposes more too because no one checks their gad demm emails.

armand.kay 21-08-2020 05:13 PM

caprimint 21-08-2020 05:13 PM

Don’t people systematically go through their emails anymore...did I miss the memo saying you no longer need to reply...going to start doing it myself as it seems perfectly acceptable...even my boss does it :umm2:

Cherie 21-08-2020 05:50 PM

Both...to text and phone ...

joeysteele 21-08-2020 06:17 PM

Both.
Call to my Mum.
Obviously in my work too.

Text otherwise.

Although e mail is my preference except on really urgent matters.

Copping out of what? I’m hardly gonna call someone for something unimportant

Obviously it depends... nobody is gonna call to be like "oh btw I saw _ today and we were talking about _" lol

Something important, obviously

Josy 21-08-2020 11:50 PM

With my family and friends I will literally sit there watching my phone ring then text straight back asking 'what is it?'

I will answer if it's an official or important call

LaLaLand 21-08-2020 11:53 PM

Texting, I hate speaking on the phone.

AnnieK 22-08-2020 07:15 AM

It depends.....at work, I prefer to ring. If its something that needs actioning quickly I hate having to wait for an answer. If its having to tell a client something they are not going to like, I find they are less likely to go off on one if I'm actually talking to them and apologising. I'm the only one in my office that thinks that though...everyone else would rather email them avoid answering the phone so I get it in the neck anyway

Friends, we usually text unless its some really good, or really bad news to tell each other.

I used to sit talking on the phone for hours to my friends though...it used to drive my parents mad

smudgie 22-08-2020 08:10 AM

Talk.
Apart from anyone who is hard of hearing.

Captain.Remy 22-08-2020 11:42 AM

Calls for work, appointments and my mum.
Texts/Messenger/Whatsapp for everything else.
Facetime with my husband when him or I are on business trips.

Oliver_W 22-08-2020 12:08 PM

Depends! I'm a bit of a curmudgeon when it comes to technology :joker: I just can't be bothered with "small talk" conversations over texts or IMs, so if someone just wants a chat I'll probably call. If it's making plans I'm happy enough with a "this place at this time" type thing
