Original title :North Korea : Kim Jong Un reportedly in a coma

I'm a bit reluctant to believe it given the last time a story like this popped up. If it's true and he's on his way out though, I can only hope his sister is sticking by the party line for the sake of appearances but has plans to change things up for the country. I doubt it, but you've got to at least entertain hope for the sake of the NK citizens.

I heard she was even worse than him :skull:

there have been a lot of rumours about his health, but no-one really knows. I'm more inclined to believe that there is a power struggle going on

Yeah, I heard the same. I don't think any of the Kims have any potential to be kind or good given that they are raised to believe they have the god-given right to rule North Korea and that the people are their playthings.

Given that their position is never likely to change though, the only thing we can do is hope that one of the ruling Kims somehow managed to grow up thinking differently.

We can't force change. we can't get involved directly as I've always thought that getting involved with the Korean conflict would be the fastest way to WW3. We can only hope for the best, despite that hope most likely being in vain.

I'd imagine there's more chance of the people revolting and over throwing them than one of the Kims suddenly developing a conscience

We'll probably never know tbh, in a communist or possibly fascist state like that we can't really believe anything that comes from them.

I wouldn't be surprised if they hired Psy to publicly stand in for him while his sister pulled the strings.

Captain.Remy 24-08-2020 10:53 AM

She's definitely going to kill him to get the power :skull: She looks so...pleasant.

bots 24-08-2020 11:01 AM

i heard that his sister is a complete nutter, so it all bodes well if she is poised to take power

Kim Jong in a coma I know,
I know, it's serious.

There's no way that him and Phillip aren't in a wager for who can die the most times in a year.

I don't think that will ever happen either. The level of control the Kims have is too much. Kids are taught that they have to be careful what they think about because the Kims are mindreaders and will know if they even think of anything that goes against their reign.

That, and the fact that famine and starvation is so common over there, it makes chances of a revolution by the people unlikely.

Short of risking world war, the only thing that will change the regime in NK is if one of the Kims develops a conscience, sadly.

Maaate you got me thinking now, was it NK or somewhere else that crazy conspiracy theorists say that a number of children are trained from birth to use psychic powers, and can kill anyone in the world with a thought?

The Slim Reaper 24-08-2020 03:59 PM

NK is basically a theocracy. All the Kims have miraculous birth stories and multiple miracles attributed to them.

There is even a unicorn lair in NK, so up yours, America.

Kim Jong-un warns over North Korea typhoon and coronavirus...

Kim Jong-un has warned North Korean authorities to prepare for the dangers posed to the country by the coronavirus pandemic and a looming typhoon.
Mr Kim's appearance at a party meeting comes after widespread speculation over his health.
North Korea has not confirmed any Covid-19 cases and it is thought that a large outbreak would have a devastating effect on the impoverished nation.
Meanwhile Typhoon Bavi is expected to hit North Korea later this week.
Speaking at a meeting of the politburo on Tuesday, Mr Kim, who was smoking a cigarette, said there were "some shortcomings" in the state's efforts to keep out the "malignant virus", state media reported, without giving details.
Pyongyang for a long time insisted there were no infections in the country, though this was doubted by observers. No cases have been declared, but its media have not repeated the claim for several weeks now.
After a suspected case, there had been a lockdown in one border city near South Korea but the infection was never officially confirmed.

Kim Jong-un's appearance came amid rumours about his health and that he had delegated some of his authority to his sister Kim Yo-jong.
Speculation about the health of the North Korean leader is not unusual but has so far always turned out to be false.
