Yeah I agree, I would have been much more interested to see how Jean Slater or Whitney are doing since they haven't even been featured yet.

Gray/Chantelle storyline sends shivers down my spine. I find myself constantly willing Kheerat Panesar to get involved but we know the storyline ends badly so it's maddening that he doesn't manage to get to her in time!

......

I'm really enjoying the show. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Ammi 16-09-2020 04:53 AM

...this is getting so upsetting because we know the conclusion to that storyline with Chantelle/Gray...it’s almost unbearable to watch..and she’s so close to actually finding happiness with someone else as well...ughhhh and the children, it’s just all too heartbreaking......

Jigs 16-09-2020 11:43 AM

The Gray/Chantelle scenes are getting SO dark and the way that they're aided by different cinematic techniques are putting me way more on edge. It is very clear that throughout lockdown Gray has completely SNAPPED and this whole obsessive abusive husband thing is really reaching its climax.

Since Channy is in that Southend cafe at the end of last nights episode, I wonder if Gray will do something to her whilst they're on their staycation? If not, you can guarantee on Friday's episode that Mitch and Karen will be babysitting Mack/Mia whilst Chantelle goes back to the house with Gray for one final time </3

Max Branning is being written out at Christmas.

...when he had the children up at the bedroom windows, it felt like something out of a horror movie...it’s becoming so unbearable to watch...and uggggghhhh, she has such a chance to have happiness with someone, finally...

Denver 16-09-2020 01:42 PM

Also is looks like Jake was axed instead of being his decision

Denver 18-09-2020 07:35 PM

They have gone all out with the change of filming style

Denver 18-09-2020 08:02 PM

Fantastic episode

Liam- 18-09-2020 10:01 PM

Jesus, that was rough

Jigs 18-09-2020 10:15 PM

Great episode. Gray is so cold.

Horrible way to see Chantelle go.

AnnieK 18-09-2020 11:24 PM

Chilling.....but good to see Chantelle stand her ground before the end....she will be missed

Marsh. 18-09-2020 11:30 PM

Well, I wasn't expecting her to go out like that. :o

I expected a cut away as he beat her and us largely having to use our imaginations. Really quite brutal.

Just hope they don't spoil it by dragging out the aftermath to the point that he starts beating Whitney or threatening Karen.

Oh you just know they can't resist the opportunity to throw misery at Whitney at every given opportunity. They ain't going to miss the chance for her to get with another abuser.

She was an amazing character. Loved her. One of the shows most tragic exits. Xx

Ammi 19-09-2020 04:50 AM

...it was so gruelling to watch and even though we knew her fate, I was still willing her to succeed in getting the children and getting away from him...which I think is a tribute to how well it was done...it was just all so harrowing and must have felt so for all actors involved...and ughhhhh, the sadness in her dad feeling that something wasn’t right from the last time he saw her and trying to contact her..../...heartbreaking....this was the way she would have peace from him... so so, sad...and now he has the children../...they’re left with him...I can’t even think about that.....I’m so fearful for them...

...I don’t know what the actor is called who plays Gray...but I wonder how playing such a character in a soap particularly when people are more typecast...impacts on any future roles or no ...whether it would make it more difficult to get roles beyond Eastenders because he’s become such a ‘hated/detestable’.../..interesting...

...anyways, Eastenders at its best...and at it’s worst and most sad and harrowing...

I thought they would have him drown her in the bath after the scene last week

Denver 19-09-2020 10:24 AM

I expected the Dishwasher to play apart of it after the early scenes but thought she would smack head off it

Amy Jade 19-09-2020 10:55 AM

I wont lie I cried watching it, both actors were outstanding and Jessica deserves awards.

Brave storyline.

Cal. 19-09-2020 12:19 PM

Jessica really stepped up by the end and proved herself to be an amazing actress. That last monologue she gave before her death was so powerful. My heart broke for her

One of the best EastEnders episodes I’ve ever seen.
