Foods you dislike (that others like)
 

Few will deny how unequivocally bland (fruitcake) or out-and-out nasty (gherkins, marmite, brain sandwiches) certain foods are (unless you’re one of them) but are there any popular foods you don’t like and conversely?

I’ll start.

1. Boiled eggs
2. Ham (within certain limits)
3. Tuna

On the flip side I do like foods a lot of people don’t (mushrooms, seafood, sweetcorn).

POTATOOOOS and I'm Irish

Also ice cream can get ****ed

And only if your reason for disliking them’s borne solely on the basis of personal preference (aka not because of allergies or specific dietary needs).

This is truly bizarre

I ****ing hate baked beans

It's like the thought of it freezing my teeth it freaks me out

You must hate lollies and ice cubes even more.

Pasta/spaghetti is the main one. It’s just... Blergh. Like heated plastic.

Also HATE mushrooms!! Cucumbers I can’t deal with unless they’re really hidden in a salad too.

Mightn’t you as well have chilli con carne in place of “rice bol.”?

Ditto for cucumber still.

Out of the list: milk, coffee, mayonnaise

The thought of every meat/fish grosses me out too but I'm vegetarian

Others: lettuce, bread rolls, gravy, cooked onions, peppers, peanuts (and most other nuts), raw tomatoes, chocolate ice-cream, pretzels

Tuna
Fatty meats
Avocado (actually wish i liked this considering how good it is for you)
Apples
Chocolate (sorry just not a fan, Caramac's are ok)
Ice Cream (it's not the coldness either, i love ice poles)
Ketchup (too sharp)

...there are a few things in that list, Redway...but the main one I’ll say is a cuppa tea, just because it’s the one that even my mum would still say to me...oh go on, just have a little cup, a half cup even....she was Mrs Doyle...sometimes actually, she would just make me a cup anyway and hand it to me...I mean, she never knew me to drink a cuppa tea, not ever...other than my first try, when it made me feel ill...but she still said...go on, have a little cuppa tea....

Totally with you on that....cant stand them

the clear winner for me is tripe, my mother used to eat it like it was the best meal ever invented

Same they remind me of the aftermath of a good weekend out

I pretty much like everything but i would try and avoid

cucumber ( i hate the smell)
aubergine - the slimy texture


But i realise that if you are hungry enough you will eat anything

Ketchup should be banned and I judge anyone who is not a child that eats it

I dont eat them

...I’m not sure that it’s physically possibly to eat egg and chips without ketchup...I think they would probably refuse and resist mouth contact or something...
