Parents of missing teenage girl are charged with her murder...

The mother and father of a missing teenage girl have been charged with her murder.

Bernadette Walker, 17, of Peterborough, was reported missing by her parents on July 21 after she had not been seen for three days, Cambridgeshire Police said.

The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit has been carrying out searches to try to find her and launched a “no-body” murder investigation on Friday.

Her parents were charged with her murder on Monday.

Sarah Walker, 37, and 50-year-old Scott Walker, both of Century Square in Millfield, Peterborough, are due to appear before a court virtually on Monday.

They have both been remanded in custody.

Detective Superintendent Jon Hutchinson said: “Whilst my team have made significant progress with this investigation in the last few days, we are yet to find Bernadette.

“Therefore my plea is for anyone who has information on what has happened to her, or where she might be, to get in touch as a matter of urgency.”

Oh no. Sickening. Poor girl. If they did it I hope they rot in prison.

I personally would have them put down.

Evil Parents

I wonder what made them look at the parents if they have no body?

They could be innocent, 3 days before they reported her missing is odd though

It isn't when you read their version of events, they say she jumped out of the car and ran off (presumably after a disagreement) she's 17 so not young, they said she contacted them 2 days later and said that she would be home soon but when they heard nothing by the following day they called the police.

I wonder is it to do with her mobile phone and that message that was sent 2 days later, why they are now suspecting the parents?

Oh that makes more sense, after how they ruined the landlords life in the Joanna Yeats case, its possible they are innocent

...just the thought of any parent/parents killing their child is inconceivable enough...but that her body has been physically hidden as well......
