I just saved a wasp from drowning!
 

he was on his side in my big water bowl for the birds and barely moving so i
fished him out and put him on some newspaper to dry out and i just fed him
some jam and he seems happy and the sugar will give him strngth to fly off when his wings are dry

no it was a big un so may have been a mated queen so now she can go into one of my 3 Bee Hotels i have in the garden and await spring
