Jonathan Straight talker or stirrer?
 

On a few occasions now Jonathan has been quite quick whitted with his comments. Do you think he is intentially stirring things up or just being a straight talker?

I like him, he puts them down and it goes straight over their heads. I think he's the best bitch in there at the moment.

I am starting to like him more and I am glad he has another week in there hopefully he can make the most of it. He is very quick whitted and can wind the housemates up just like Lesley use to do. The highlights of him in tonights show were funny.

I'm certainly glad Jonathan is still there ,for now at least. I am intrigued if we will get to see the secret of his success. At first, one wonders if he is a manipulator and stirrer , but I suspect he may well turn out to be one of those few that have the art of straight talking where people do listen.The trouble is that he may be doing it a bit too early with some HMS, and he could be construed as pre judging them. He was very quick to like Nicky, then nominate her, then be friends again.

I think he is a very much a character to watch...at first I thought that the public would vote him out just because of the fact he was rich but now she has survived we get to work him out for another week which is good.

Goodness, Jonathan just called Laura A 'bully with no brains' and Laura said 'yes, your absolutely right'

Thing is, it was said whilst all is fun and calm. Perhaps he knows when to say things rather more than what things to say.

I am loving Jonathan even more! Lol

I don't know if he is a straight talker or a stirrer but it seems to me he is aware that Charley is unpopular outside the house and could be trying to use it to his advantage.

But that is a dangerous game because public opinion can change quickly.

I like Jonathan too. He's like I'd like to think I'd be in the house, ie taking the p*ss out of the big ego's. His comments to Billi about mincing in front of every camera had me falling on the floor.

He just seems to be able to get away with making nasty comments, the housemates must be silly to think that he's joking, he might well do it in a calm and controlled manner but he does have real intent behind all that he says.

I'm glad he's staying because he can expose some of the fake housemates.I had to laugh when he said to Ziggy that Chanelle was due back at school soon.

I can't work out if he is humourous or nasty. I think the housemates are also unsure of how to take it most of the comments they laugh with him but some go to far.

Do you reckon if he had said some of them things as part of argument he would have ended up going on friday?

I think Jonathan has had to bring his game plan forward and this is why he feels the need to show the extent of his straight talking so early on , but also now, before it's too late.
Imo , his comments are often accurate but the kind of thing you may say to someone when you know them a lot better and on a one on one basis. I think he may well have got this wrong with the hms and with the viewers too who need to know more about what he's like and not just what he thinks of everyone else. He intrigues me still but think he is going to be too sensitive if it all starts coming back at him when presumably they will either like him or dislike him but either way they will sure want to tell it to him straight. lol

He's there to raise his profile and he'll have worked out the best business plan and what 'personality' the audience will buy into. I just don't want to hear anything he's got to say, at all, he should just go away.

With the value in his image at stake, this man will undoubtedly have the most water-tight gameplan on the screen, so in answer to the question, I think he'll stir when it suits him and straight talk when it suits him, and it will spoil the dynamics of natural behaviour from the other housemates.

Like James has mentioned, he's already trying to exploit the anti-Charley mob.
