I am BLIND!!
 

Just went for an eye test and turns out I'm blind. When they put the little test lenses in, everything looked so clear and in focus, I hadn't actually realised how NOT in focus they were before, and then when they took them off I was like "OH so I am in fact a blind person".

I need glasses for reading, screens and driving. I mean obviously I will look extremely sexy in glasses BUT does this mean I'm becoming elderly? :bawling:

it happnes to us all but you find that your distance improves with age after a while but i have to get the children to read stuff on food packaging for me

I had 2020 vision until I was 15 and then suddenly I needed glasses for almost everything, it was shocking. But I actually like them now, my vision is almost perfect with them on and I feel a lot better for them.

The problem with getting glasses is that your eyes get weak so nearly every time you go now you will have to stump up for new glasses and they are not cheap :sad:

Why not have contacts so that you can remain glassesless

my distance glasses broke a while back but i am always finding glasses in boxes of odds so when i find a pair that work i just use them

i wear glasses all the time, recently got new glasses, and a renewed eye test

thank god i had managed to do that before coronacrisis

i think you will find that if you open the zips up you will see a lot better

If only you did vision 2020 and you could have warned us all....

Think I need to go for an eye test but I have an irrational fear of going to opticians, doctors, dentists and hairdressers

Condolences.

My granfather did actually go blind due to his diabetes. He used to take me to the football and when there was like a bad tackle he would say "whit wiz that" and id say "the big number 4 clattered into our striker" and then he would shout out some expletive

Problem was this was like 20 seconds after it happened and the game had moved on :joker:

20-20 vision’s probably a bad omen in 2020 so count yourself lucky. A blessing in not-so-subtle disguise (if you can see it).
