Circuit Breaker Lockdown - Week Commencing 19-Oct

Qier Starman has demanded it.
Boris has no choice but to go for it.
Or Qier will claim that that the 1,000s who die in the next wave are because the PM didnt do the ciruit breaker.
Cunning play by Qier.

Are you ready for the circuit breaker?

im stocking up on pasta and loo roll today.

we got partial lockdown, i'm sure it will help here too to get numbers down a bit in these next 4 weeks

we've been stocking up on good amount of face masks (the extra protective ones, more expensive but they can help better, keeping virusses away up to 96%)

as for foods, loo rolls, no stocking up, just going every week to supermarket, as normal but with a mask, and with the mask requirement to come soon that will be much safer

and i just hope everyone will listen so no one gets fined

The shops wouldn't shut ffs BUT you just know people are going to strip the shelves anyway. Which means we should stock up. A vicious circle.

no need for hamstering, that is sooooo ''first lockdown'' stuff

we do not want to go back to how it was like in March, so people follow advice and if you do not understand your government, try to do something yourself against covid

Stock piling should be fined in this times, or they should have made a system where you get a card and get it ticked before buying

Well did anyone expect Johnson to do anything else.

A word of caution however, how many times has he rejected things on this pandemic in the past, then been dragged from his procrastinating to do them.
After sadly, the dangers have been left to increase by his handling and procrastination as to the serious health matter.

1) you can't punish the whole country for rules certain city and towns are not sticking to (Liverpool have had hundreds of people huddled and partying on streets for a while now )
2)The country is already on its knees and can not afford another full lockdown

There's no way to stop it realistically, the problem isn't just people buying loads in one go - if everyone buys one 24-multipack of toilet paper every time they go to the shop, supplies will dwindle. In fact it wouldn't need to even be different days; my nearest town isn't even a large one and has FIVE supermarkets I could do the rounds of. Tesco, ASDA, Morrissons, Aldi, Lidl... then within a half hour drive there's two other towns with the same again plus Sainsburies. So 16 supermarkets that I could get round in an afternoon, buying one pack at each... that's nearly 400 toilet rolls without anyone batting an eyelid in terms of stockpiling.

Unless you're talking about actual rationing cards but I don't think we're there yet; there is no supply shortage, it's just idiots clearing the shelves and being unable to get the stock from factories and warehouses onto the shop floor fast enough.
