Do/would you have the flu jab?
so I've been offered a flu jab but I'm extremely reluctant to have it. My dad was quite ill when he had his every year so stopped having them.
Have you had it? Or would you choose to? |
I've never gotten one, but my mom has and Gavin used to get them every year through his work and never had any issues
|
The TL got a letter about it but i never, turns out i didn't as im not registered with a doctor.
|
They gave me one when I was pregnant but that's the only time I've ever had it.
My dad has one every year though and never has any problems |

it is the regular flu season time of year too now, i don't think many elderly had them this year out of covid fears
i mean i have a sore throat, so does my mom, and i blame the heater because too dry air also can't be good for your throat |
No we used to be routinely offered them when I worked in a school, including the swine flu jab which I declined. I think if you have an underlying condition or are prone to very chesty illnesses then yes, otherwise if you are eating well, and looking after your body you should be okay

Get it every year for the last 4 years or so until this year and I’ve been catching it a fair bit. Most surgeries near me are low on stock though.

I’ve never felt the need to have one myself. ... but at 62 I’m wondering about it this year .. I never get sick and don’t really like the idea of jabs and possible side effects It’s a ponder ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
I get it every year and usually get a cold or flu but it helps me nit getting very ill.
|
all over 60's are offered it, so i think it's sensible for that age group. They say you can get covid and flu at the same time, and thats why anyone can have one this year
|
I had mine today

Had mine last Tuesday.
Silly beggar arrived the wrong day, but they were very accommodating :hee: Never had a problem with the flu jabs, been getting them for years. |
Got mine Wednesday and got I’ll two days later lol
|
If I had any health issue or was over 33 years older.
Yes, I'd have it if advised to. |
I’ve never had one.
My dad’s debating having one this year though, and my Aunties/Great Aunts have had it no issues. A neighbour of mine has it every year and is always rotten for over a week after, like bedbound. Makes me think what’s the point of him putting himself through that every year really. |
don't think I've ever had one and I've never had the flu
|
I wouldn't, mainly because few jabs are limited and there are people who need them far more than I.
|
I would never
