TiBB does the Apprentice 2020/ Task 2/ Charity Concert Billboard
Candidates, you are now merged into a team, and must work together in the main discussion thread on this task. Task 2 As a team, you must assemble a supergroup to perform at a one-off fun charity concert, this group must have 6 members, and they must all be well known characters from the following soaps: Eastenders, Corrie, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks. You may choose all 6 from one soap, or mix and match. You must have at least one male character and at least one female character in the mix, other than that you have free reign to choose who you like. I would suggest you choose the more popular/well-loved characters, however it's entirely up to you. Once your group is assembled, you must come up with a name for them and produce a billboard/poster advertisement, to promote the concert, with as much detail as possible AND a programme which lists the ten songs to be performed on the night. Date and time of the concert, venue, which charity it's for etc are all up to you? Deadline is Thursday at 5pm whereby one of you will post the finished product in this thread to be judged. |
Just a hint. Please read the task outline carefully.

Barry - I really connected with yours so, so much...it was so easy to visualise and your story plus that song choice are also, so incredibly ‘John Lewis’...a really lovely entry that reflects our times so much... but hopefully those older people in our photos will be in our bubbles and with us and not alone in their homes...
Nicky - I want that house, I’ll ask dear Sugrr if he can buy it for me......and obviously, it’s always beginning to look a lot like Christmas when we hear Michael Buble...The perfect house and the perfect song...?..all perfect for a stay at home Christmas ...all we need my love is people/a family etc to stay at home with after they’ve done their John Lewis shipping etc...all very visually lovely, though... I am putting that house on my Christmas list... Parmnion - okay, you got me at Santa and children...I love the beginning of taking us out into the world and all of the chimneys that Santa has tried to climb down/right there covering the entire continents of children...and then finally you brought us home with Santa going through the door...his realisation that the children of the world loved him more than they loved the gifts he brings each year...?...all beautiful sentiments and the makings of a very thoughtful/thought provoking ad, very much in John Lewis style...even Sugrr baby had a tear in his granite eyes for the Santa love...and we’ve been onion free all day so it wasn’t those... Jake - what can I say, your concept, the detail of your concept and your song choice...all beautifully coming together to show and feel the spirit of Christmas...’Let’s Stay Together’...we can’t all do that, can we...we won’t be able to physically do that...so we have to feel in in our hearts and get as close as possible...?..and you took us there, Jake...you made us feel that ‘together’...simply lovely... Matthew - a parent promised them and Santa came, that’s the magic of Christmas that we hope for every child...Such an uplifting song and so easy to visualise that family giving their children a perfect Christmas despite the restrictions...and all of the stockings filled with John Lewis gifts, obviously...very joyous and very uplifting and really feeling Christmas... |
...it’s definitely a 5 horse race atm with any and every candidate having the potential to win...I’m looking forward to seeing the teamwork../...how you all work together is a key thing for choosing an apprentice for Sugrrman...good luck all.....
|
thank you all who gave me that feedback so far, but in my defence this was my first ever task like this (i mean i am more in my comfort zone with singing/dancing sort of games)
also my concept along with Jakey's beautiful storyline is like perfection so if anyone who i would team up with for task 1's christmas advert it would be him for sure as for task 2, idk many british soap actor/actresses just the few who been on either DOI, Strictly |

You can make the tea then. |

...and you did well, Nicky...it’s a long time since we had Apprentice so there isn’t so much familiarity with tasks etc...you set a lovely scene and the concept of a family Christmas was good ...it was a great first task for everyone... |

Candidates....would you prefer a social group to work in?
|
In here is fine with me but I dont care that much either way.
|
Do any of us really know soaps that well. I know a few off corrie but I dont watch it. Ive seen bits of Emmerdale as my wife watches it. But thats about it. I think this could be a hard task for us all
We either go for a really cool mixed group with some of the younger cast Or A novelty type band with some of the funny characters As for Charity I think we need to go totally mainstream here if we want this to be successful Lets aim for children in need and have them perform on the night. Maybe even twice? As long as we get some kind of credit for it I shall get on the phone in the next couple of hours to reach out to cast members |
Do we need a project manager
Im happy to put myself forward I feel I have vital skills in creating supergroups etc |
i support Jakey as project manager, but only because i know it too he has some skills at creating groups
|
...will tasks be allocated/delegated to each team member, Jake...depending on individual strengths etc....or...?...
|
Yes I will delegate.
But we need to hear off the rest of the team as to if they have confidence in me as project manager I have a feeling we may be best to go towards musical theatre group? We have people like lucy pargeter, lisa riley, patsy palmer, jessie wallace etc |
Can we make a small request that the cast doesnt have to be just current cast. There is so many that jave either just left really recently or are so well known for being in the soap that surely that can count toom if we dont currently watch soaps its a bit tough.
|
I have a long list of potentials it all depends if we are allowed people that arent currently in the soap
Obviously we have to decide on the type of group we want first Novelty or Musical Eastenders Dot cotton June Brown Ian Beale Adam Woodyatt Sharon Watts Letitia Dean Mick Carter Danny Dyer Linda Carter Kellie Bright Kat Slater Jessie Wallace Bianca Jackson Patsy Palmer Sonia Fowler Natalie Cassidy Mel Owen Tamzin Outhwaite Honey Mitchell Emma Barton Jack Branning Scott Maslen Kim fox Tameka Empson Ruby Allen Louisa Lytton Kourosh Kazemi Davood Ghadami Alfie Moon Shane Ritchie Roxy Mitchelle Rita Simons Janine Butcher Charlie Brooks Ricky Butcher Sid Owen Hollyoaks Kurt Jeremy Edwards Gary Lucy Will Mellor Corrie Jane Danson Jennie McAlpine Kym Marsh Antony Cotton Andrew Whyment Emmerdale Lucy Pargeter Lisa Riley Laura Norton Mixed group current sort of music Eastenders Stacey Slater Lacey Turner Tiffany Butcher Maisie Smith Lauren Branning Jaqueline Jossa Whitney Dean Shona McCartney Lola Pearce Danielle Harold Hollyoaks Mercedes Jennifer Metcalfe Theresa Jorgie Porter Darren Ashley Taylor Dawson Nikki Sanderson Chelsee Healy Danny Mac Malique Thompson Dwyer Stephanie Davis Corrie Samia Ghadie Brooke Vincent Michelle Keegan Lucy Fallon Ryan Thomas Catherine Tyldesley Shayne Ward Emmerdale Danny Miller Matthew Wolfenden Fiona Wade Alex Lincoln Kelvin Fletcher |
