the last bit is said as one aninginaneinaw

to speak slowly.

The Tayside accent is a tough one if you're not used to it, even for Scottish people.

I do find that a lot of Scottish accents are becoming a bit generic in younger people now though, most people sound "Central" and the stronger accents are fading. But then, I found the same thing when I lived in Lancashire, with the old folks having a very distinct Lancashire accent which has similar elements to Yorkshire, but the younger ones having a more generic Manchester-ish accent.

I've watched parliament on TV days on end and never once had a problem understanding David Linden.

Ignorant is what I'd term that MP.
