Not really tinned soup.
My Late Grandmother and now my Mum's homemade ones and broth yes.

Tinned ones I like however are plain tomato and I used to love celery soup too.

Cherie 01-11-2020 12:02 PM

I make my own soup, and have taught my sons do do the same, I made carrot and butternut squash this weekend with cream cheese and black pepper .

Broccoli and stilton is another favorite

Kate! 01-11-2020 12:02 PM

Celery soup is nice yes Joey. And I forgot mushroom other poll. Yum.

soup is so easy to make, i make it all the time in winter. Lentil, pea and ham are 2 particular favourites and good old scotch broth

AnnieK 01-11-2020 12:11 PM

Make my own usually....love celery soup (I hate actual celery but in a soup its gorgeous).

If I have to have tinned, it has to be Heinz cream of tomato

Ammi 01-11-2020 12:17 PM

....I make my own also...leek and potato, lentil...slow roasted vegetable...are the three I mainly eat...

Niamh. 01-11-2020 12:53 PM

Slight tangent but ‘back in the day ‘ ... the 60’s and before ...

I recall home made chicken soup being regarded as a kinda ‘cure it all’ or ‘recovery food’ after an illness - crazy thing is it was made from simply stewing the carcass for ages ( including all the skin and gristle) after it had been stripped .

Only if its homemade, very rarely from a tin.

We still use homemade chicken soup as a 'cure it all' lol it's due to the vitamins and minerals from the bone broth I'm sure.

Homemade parsnip soup is gorgeous

Is this a Scottish 'thing' I work with a guy from East Kilbride and if I bring tinned soup to work he's disgusted lol!
