Sheridan Smith will be a judge on ITVs reboot of Stars in their Eyes

It has been renamed Starstruck and will go back to the original format with Sheridan becoming one of the judges

Stars in their eyes NEVER had judges , so this isn't entirely back to its original format. But it sounds like it's a fresh new version hence the title change aswell.

But I just hope it's a proper TV show , instead of the diabolical mess Harry Hill made of it . I had to switch off when he turned it into another silly TV burp :bored: .

I don't remember ever seeing judges , all i remember is the presenter hosting it and the studio audience voting for their favourite .

Harry Hill ruined it last time so I hope its actually quite decent and not itv car crash tv they like to go for sometimes!

ITV are desperate for Jade Thirlwall to join Sheridan and Adam Lambert

Nicky91 18-12-2020 01:45 PM

ours the original soundmixshow had judges since the start of that in 1985

also we got loads of successful breakthroughs

*Gerard Joling (later represented us at ESC in 1988 with shangri la where he got to 9th place)

*René Shuman (elvis impersonator, very talented one too, later on in his career moved to US for the group Shuman & Angel Eye)

*Petra Berger (went on to become high profile, famous musical actress)

*DesRay (2 Brothers on the 4th Floor eurodance icon, and now currently making new name with country music)

*Helmut Lotti (well one of few flemish breakthroughs here, he can do big bang, swing, classical)

*Marco Borsato (dutch-italian folk, pop singer, lots of no.1 hits most of all dutch artists here)

*Glennis Grace (our eurovision 2005 artist, my impossible dream, and AGT sensation)

*Tooske Ragas (singer, actress, musical theatre star, a-lister tv presenter)

*Edsilia Rombley (our ESC 1998, 2007 artist, 2020/2021 ESC host)

The first series in 1990 also had a celebrity panel, consisting of Joe Longthorne, Sally Dynevor and Pete Waterman, who gave their opinions after each performance.

BBC Text :
[The Sun has spoken to a dog walker
who came across "the smoking wreckage"
of a Range Rover crashed by actress Sheridan Smith.
It quotes the witness as saying
they thought someone must have died,
alongside a picture of the car smashed into a tree.]

Why does it need judges? Was hoping we'd have it how it was before (pre-Harry Hill's absolute butchering of the show).

Nothing wrong with the old format.

Adam Lambert is amazing. I'm watching just for him.
