Post Lockdown Tiers Announced

Ik there’s a Corona thread but not everyone checks it (and Tbf at 8k posts there should really be a new one anyway)

Some of these are a joke.... Newcastle has managed to go from tier 2 to tier 3 AFTER lockdown

rusticgal 26-11-2020 10:55 AM

Swale is riddled apparently

Cherie 26-11-2020 11:00 AM

Suffolk is Tier 2

Denver 26-11-2020 11:01 AM

They can **** right off putting Black Country in the top tier

AnnieK 26-11-2020 11:04 AM

As expected for Gtr Manchester. I'm personally not bothered but know a lot of people will be. Hoping that our cases keep falling as quickly as they have in the last few weeks and we will be in a position to move tiers soon.

Wigan in tier 3. That's my shopping trip to St Helens and lunch with my friend out the window now then. Xx

Vanessa 26-11-2020 11:09 AM

Can't wait to go on holiday again.
I need a little break somewhere quiet.

yes, Kent is tier 3 which is insane. It covers a huge area and all but a small part has infection rates way below the national average

My area infection rate is 127 per 100k, the national average is 169

Bang goes the rave party I had organised for the weekend :fist:

Glenn. 26-11-2020 11:35 AM

The Swale area is to thank for Kent’s tier 3. We have the highest infection rate in the country I think.

MTVN 26-11-2020 12:45 PM

I'm in tier 2 Gloucestershire but the village 5 minutes up the road is in South Gloucestershire so tier 3 lol. We were both in tier 1 before lockdown

It's gonna take a horrendous toll on the hospitality sector and sadly I can't see the tiers being relaxed until after January

I think a lot of the additional tiering is to take us over the Christmas period when it would be easy for people to go oh sod it, by mid Jan you will probably be back in Tier 1

AnnieK 26-11-2020 01:21 PM

I thought they were going to review the Tiers every 14 days, if the cases are dropping surely they will need to change the Tiers?

Denver 26-11-2020 01:54 PM

Nobody will be in tier 1 till after Xmas, they need to make it as safe as possible for Xmas mixing

Strictly Jake 26-11-2020 02:00 PM

We are in tier 3 and its annoying as the cases are really low here but we get dragged into lancashire as a whole. Thats just laziness if you ask me!

smudgie 26-11-2020 02:03 PM

We are in Tier 3, even though it says North Yorkshire tier 2.
Too close to County Durham I reckon.
Quite happy about it as it’s pretty high around here, plus family can get checked out for xmas.
