ITV wasted 500k isolating 10 ex campmates
 

Its reported they paid 10 former camp mates 50k each to isolate but ended up sending them home.

They included

Phil Tufnell
Carol Vorderman
Joey Essex
Joe Swash
Charlie Brooks
Vicky Pattison

Carol is such a weird one, she wasn't a winner nor was she exactly memorable

Yeah, it was probably going to turn into some kind of All Stars if things went tits up.

Carol lives in Anglesey I believe which is about 20 minutes away from the castle so that could explain her inclusion. Convenience.

I wish somebody would pay me £50k to go and isolate for a couple of weeks in Wales.

My reaction to this again is “why? forget this guest appearance rubbish and just do an All Stars series”

But then, having now seen the list of people they’d likely invite...maybe not :umm2:

What was the plan to make the ex campmates do a extra trial? or to spend the night in the castle with the new campmates? :conf:

The plan, I assume, was if the current lot came down with covid, they could swap them out for the ‘all stars’ in the worst case scenario

They wasted more on Noel Edmunds. They still saved a **** load of money this year without going to OZ.

Noel's fee was beyond ridiculous! , They couldn't afford anyone else due to his heafty 600k :facepalm: .

Renting the castle and renovating it cost more then it would to be held in the jungle
