New 2021 Thatcher Statue is to get Eggs chucked on it

[More than 1,000 have pledged to take part in an egg-throwing contest
at the unveiling of a statue of Margaret Thatcher in her hometown.

people wanting to also chuck eggs at it.




[South Kesteven District Council is set to approve a £100,000 spend on an
event to unveil the new Margaret Thatcher statue in Grantham.
The £300,000 bronze statue of the Iron Lady was brought to the
town by Grantham Museum, SKDC and the Public Memorials Appeal.
It was originally destined for display in London but it will now be
on a 10ft plinth on St Peter’s Hill green.]

The organiser of the event, Kass Arif, said in an accompanying post: "Bois and girls and me non binarys, we out here holding contest for egg throwing, lassos throwing, and potentially graffiti art.

Sorry, I don't see the need for statues to personally glorify any individuals.
Shove them inside buildings relevant to the person or shove them in museums.

I honestly don't think even as a child I've ever been taken to see or since gone to see a statue.

So them shoved in your faces in public places, especially if divisive characters, I see no reason for whatsoever.
