Looking forward to this; I've heard some good things about the few drag queens I can remember being cast... and I think there's a queen who will be the trade of all trades (Kameron, Pearl, Milk, Vixen found rotting)

First thoughts:

Denali - Like her a lot, seems funny and quick-witted and looks great.
Elliott With 2 Ts - silly drag name, seems to find herself hilarious. At least someone does :) (i'm not writing her off but still)
Gottmik - I've heard about him a lot, followed him a couple of years ago. He's exciting.
Joey Jay - already anticipating Michelle calling her out for the lack of wigs. She makes me sound straight. COULD... be annoying. But... hawt.
Kahmora Hall - she seems fun. I'm not sure about her... in terms of how well she'll do. But she seems like she'll be good TV.
Kandy Muse - I like her a lot, already knew about her bc of the Aja connection. Hope the producers don't force her voice too much a la Vanjie but I'm a fan.
Lala Ri - why am I getting black Jennifer Coolidge from her? :skull: I like her a lot.
Olivia Lux - Seems really fun, I can see her going far.
Rose - cba to find the accent above the E. Seems very confident. Unsure what to make of her tbh... but the look is jarring to me. Also good-looking out of drag!
Symone - the one I'm most excited about. Looks stunning, is naturally engaging (she honestly reminds me of Dominique Jackson in Pose), and... just everything I like in a drag queen. She had me at "y'ain't worthy".
Tamisha Iman - hopefully some good drama? We stan an Atlanta ball queen. Not sure about the decision not to wear a necklace to cover the visible breastplate line though :eyes:
Tina Burner - someone who's been talked about a lot for years; already a big name in drag. I really enjoy listening to her, she's just got *it*.
Utica - I'll avoid the easy comparisons (Thorgy/Crystal/Yvie) because she does genuinely seem unique. I'm intrigued by her, but also tentative because she could be annoying.

Once you get past the "I should be America's next drag superstar because...Look at this" moment we have every year, this cast is giving me S11 vibes and that doesn't look too good for me.

I heard of Tina Burner before and tbh she looks like she's the redemption version of Sherry Pie since they seem to be in the same drag category. I'm rooting for her right now, she's not about the bs and we finally need another comedy queen to win.

Utica is an interesting choice, I can see her having a Ma'Ma Queen kind of journey where she has some crazy fashion taste and does unexpected things like comedy or something.

Rosé is a strong contender too. I liked the shade towards Jan and she seems like a good time to be around.

Kandy Muse seems to be a mix of Silky and Vanjie and I need more time to digest this :joker:

I don't remember much about the others already. It's the same "I'm that bitch" thing that is not sticking with me.
But we always love delusional queens, and some of them are already eliminated so it's always cringe to know some of them are still shooting the "I'm gonna win" segment while already being eliminated :joker:

PS on Joey Jay: will probably get cut early on but at least we would have enjoyed her confessionnals in her boy look. Hot cute thing to look at :laugh:

Elliott With 2 Ts is... the worst drag name ever to appear on the show, right? Worse than Dax ExclamationPoint? Worse than Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams? like, "Elliott Puckett" is at least charming-in-a-Roald-Dahl-character-sort-of-way

Was this filmed before or during COVID?

it was filmed July/August-ish, so during the pandemic (apparently they've made the werk room larger to incorporate social distancing, added glass panels between the judges, and replaced the usual guest judges shtick with a small rotating group of recurring guest judges)

I figured they would've done something similar to the Drag Race Holland judges panel with recurring guest judges (given DRH was also filmed in the middle of the pandemic).

Symone and Utica are my favs, but also looking out for Rosé, Gottmik, and Olivia! Seems like a really interesting cast, and looking forward to when it airs!
