Yes but I think it’ll be 40+ (40*0) +1 because of the rules of BODMAS so the answer would be 41, as you have to do the multiplication first which would be 40*0 and then add the other 40 afterwards.. could be completely wrong :laugh:

But I think you have to do multiplication first so it’ll be 40*0 = 0
Then the additions 0+40+1 = 41
As you do not go in the order it’s written you follow the BODMAS order (division first, multiplication second, addition third, subtraction last). It’s like how 8+2÷2 = 9 and not 5

When long sums have no brackets to tell you the order you are meant to follow the BODMAS rules
