What do you miss most during Lockdowns?

spill the beans

seeing friends and family. A couple of major events have had to have the celebrations delayed. It's going to be a hell of a blow out when things return to normal

Ammi 13-01-2021 06:12 AM

...people, human interactions and connections and feeling them and seeing them with others...seeing people hug and generally connect in their lives and having friends/family say what they did that day and the human connections that were part of their days...the animation of lives...

Freedom i guess, I know that's very general but its what's getting to me atm, just not being able to do anything or go anywhere. We can't even take a drive further than 5km atm unless for work

The Gym is the number 1 thing for me. Maintenance of this stunning body is hard without access.

I dont really miss any of it. Im not even on lockdown i have to work full time so when i get home or at the weekend I just wanna crash in front of the tv with my wife and kids and watch films and eat food thats bad for me!

Nicky91 13-01-2021 09:06 AM

nothing really, just music festivals/concerts on tv

but otherwise it still is same as normal for me

I miss our place in Spain, not been since last Feb :bawling:

I work from home anyway so that's not new

Seeing my friends and I haven't seen my family in Ireland for 15 months now

Friends & Family - although I’ve been quite lucky in terms of support bubbles and that
Eating Out
Cinema

Cal. 13-01-2021 11:09 AM

Pubs, clubs, friends & family and working in a normal environment!

Cal. 13-01-2021 11:09 AM

Well more friends. Don’t really miss family. It’s a welcome distance.

MTVN 13-01-2021 12:37 PM

Pubs by a long way </3 and also eating out or just going out for a coffee

I do miss watching live sport too although I managed to get to some non league games in the autumn so that helped and so does elite sport continuing. Be nice to see friends again but then we talk all the time anyway and we often go a few weeks or so without seeing each other in person so I'm not that bothered by it. I still go out to work as normal and see a lot of people everyday so it doesn't weigh as heavily in that respect as it might if I was just trapped at home all day

AnnieK 13-01-2021 12:39 PM

Working.....furlough sucks
Seeing friends
Being able to keep a 10 year old entertained without just saying, let's go for a walk. Miss his football and athletics as they were social for me and energy draining for him
Going to gigs / concerts. Missed 4 last year that I already had tickets for.....they've all been rescheduled for this year but imagine the dates will move again

LaLaLand 13-01-2021 02:06 PM

Just pure physical interaction with friends and family.

Talking to them face to face, sitting down and having a good natter and a drink.

caprimint 13-01-2021 05:34 PM

I don't really miss much at all tbh, I guess I'd say travelling/going different places and there have been a couple of concerts/festivals that I've wanted to go to that I didn't get chance to... so probably those.

reece(: 13-01-2021 07:13 PM

Friends, family, festivals, holidays, pubs, nightclubs, concerts... so most of the things I enjoy about life except gaming. :joker:

GiRTh 13-01-2021 07:45 PM

Meeting family and friends but not much else.

I love working from home and may ask to work more from home when we go back. I usually have a bit of a mad one on NYE so I have been reminiscing about the more memorable NYE's of the past.
