it felt more like a warzone, also kinda looked like one since there were a lot of cars in flames, they were more rioters, hooligans (some were pegida of course but they mostly had encouraged the rioters to trash the city, and loot supermarkets)

this was also non-political act, but more people who acted out of frustration because of the recent curfew regulation, they also filmed themselves while taking everything they could from supermarkets (Jumbo, Albert Heijn)

police used teargas, water cannon (that vehicle had to get its tire fixed, and later on returned and forced the rioters away)


they had set fires near the CS train station, near the philips stadium also few fires

after this was over in eindhoven


other cities/towns had their curfew protests, such as The Hague, Twente, Venlo (also fires having been started there)

Actually many see vaccines as the key, and the Netherlands is lagging behind there - last in the EU to roll out its vaccine programme. To date, 135,000 people have been given their first dose.
