Have you had a cold since March 2020?

I haven't actually  All the hand washing, social distancing locking down maybe?

joeysteele 27-01-2021 03:14 PM

I don't get many but had none.
I agree, and plus the masks.

Scarlett. 27-01-2021 03:15 PM

Nope, I used to get one every few months with working with the public, its been nice not having a cold lol

Daniel. 27-01-2021 03:15 PM

No.

It makes sense that all this protection will see less colds and flus as well as coronavirus

Cal. 27-01-2021 03:26 PM

Yes in September. Got tested for covid and was negative so it was either a false negative or just a cold.

Cal. 27-01-2021 03:26 PM

I can’t stand a cold mind so will likely continue with all the covid stuff after lockdowns are over

Marsh. 27-01-2021 03:27 PM

Slightly just before Christmas.

LeatherTrumpet 27-01-2021 04:04 PM

nope

always get one before Christmas but not this time

GoldHeart 27-01-2021 04:13 PM

Not really no

Josy 27-01-2021 04:14 PM

I've had both a cold and what I think was the flu :/

Stu 27-01-2021 04:36 PM

Nothing at all. I have this mental imagine of finally emerging from lockdown, and the mild cold I catch after the first night in the pub puts me in the ground.

Samm 27-01-2021 04:39 PM

I had a really bad cold in Sept/October not as bad as the flu because of that I thought I had a mild case of covid but I did a test about a week into the cold and it was negative. Haven't really been ill since then.

Plus the mask wearing

Shaun 27-01-2021 05:00 PM

In the first week of December. Probably brought about by sorting the bins out whilst it was freezing and raining one night.

bitontheslide 27-01-2021 05:02 PM

i've had several minor colds. It puts you in a mini panic everytime you cough

rusticgal 27-01-2021 05:07 PM

Nope...

I always picked up a cold...but then I worked at the Airport and then sometimes in an office where we would use each others phones/headphones and computers so it was easy to pick up germs. So I put it down to not being at work and facemasks.

...that’s exactly my thoughts as well, that no one will have any immune system at all and that minor viruses will become more severe...

Was it mild covid?

MTVN 27-01-2021 06:24 PM

Yeah just after Christmas. Colds don't normally bother me too much but this one knocked me for six a bit, just spent two days laid up in bed. Got tested and it came back really quick negative so I went back to work but it took me a while to properly recover. Wonder if that's partly due to what Stu and Ammi mentioned about not having as strong an immune system

smudgie 27-01-2021 07:35 PM

Not a sniffle.
But then I never get them normally.

Epic. 27-01-2021 07:47 PM

I would because I have hay fever. Summer isn't the best time for me.

LaLaLand 27-01-2021 08:32 PM

I had a bad cold virus last week, my Mam and Niece did too.

I thought it was the dreaded and nearly went for a test because I felt ROTTEN for a few days (felt really fluey coming down with it, no energy, headaches, aches and pains, nausea etc) but then the snot began streaming and I’ve never been so happy to see it! :joker:

Cherie 27-01-2021 09:50 PM

Yes in September and I rarely get colds

No I haven't and this is unusual because i have a low immune system and normally catch every cold going. In 'Normal' years i get about 7-10 colds and i have had nothing...
I agree with you, this handwashing/anti bac/ social distancing/ masks etc i think has made the difference... but it makes me worry that when things resume I'm going to get floored...
