Jason Donovan won’t skate tonight

He has been given a bye to next weeks show...

Meaning tonight’s 2 hour long show will feature only 6 couples...

yes 7 or 8 ad breaks

and a guest performance from Rita Ora

Oh for goodness sake.
I do like Jason, think he's a decent guy but really he just barely skates any week anyway.

Yes he must have real bad Back Pain.
He is 52 years old, seems fit
but a back problem
stays hidden.

I’m presuming it’s a prerecord since she’s in Australia

The Show must go on
It is still Live 6PM today

rionablue 14-02-2021 10:31 AM

OH FFS. They should ****ing cancel the rest of the series. Jason is by far the weakest skater and as Cherie has said we are going to lose someone who is good. The bloody show is cursed. Strictly ran their full series responsibly and all the celebrities and dancers had to make HUGE sacrifices by staying in bubbles with their dancing partner. Dancing on Ice which I always love is an absolute tragedy

Agree Riona there seems to be a very casual application of the rules, starting with the unnecessary appearance of the GC to plug the competition in the first show and the kids dancing with T and D last week

Strictly was much better organized and didn't have many problems.
Dancing on Ice should have put the contestants I to bubbles to minimise the risk.

The ice nature of this show too adds to dangers.
On rehearsals and the live shows, obviously people need to be closer to assist in case of any accidents.

Time could be crucial.
REALLY it was unwise to hold it during lockdown or tier restrictioned periods.

However, it's got crazy now, since as many have left, as have been voted off.
Now Jason has some issue.

In a competition, particularly this one with the added danger from the ice element and skates, it is I would think, more difficult to really have those bubbles sealed 100%.

Tbf, injury and twitter have caused more issues than covid for this series.
