I can't really imagine why people have stuck so loyally with Nintendo this past two decades, because they haven't progressed really since 2002. Shoddy online services, incredibly outrageous milking of the same 4 or 5 franchises, poor graphics, and flimsy hardware.

If I hadn't been gifted a Switch I can't really imagine I'd feel like I was missing out without one.

I know this wasn't pegged as THE biggest update or Direct, but every single one I've tuned in for has been the same ****... a couple of major games coming to the Switch a year/2 later than every other console I've already played it on, a crappy Mario spinoff, 20 sword games that all look the same, a re-release of something from 1998 that doesn't look like it's had any graphical improvement, a new Smash character, and then the "big reveal" is just a sequel to a franchise I don't care about.

This was t’final nail in t’coffin for me i’m selling mine

Smithy 18-02-2021 11:15 AM

Apparently there is a Pokémon direct next week, I’m gonna wait and see what is announced, and if it’s nothing good, going to sell mine too

Wizard. 18-02-2021 11:21 AM

Yeah I rarely play my Switch tbf if it wasn't for Ring Fit adventure which is the only think keeping me from being obese at the minute. Luckily I have the Fortnite edition so it should increase in value over time as opposed to the normal Switch. I am one of those people who is looking forward to playing Skyward Sword though.

It was really quite disappointing. I wanted some Bayonetta 3 news since the devs have been hinting at more news for months now and I think the Zelda reveal was underwhelming, they really should have done an All Stars style compilation for Zelda and bundled the 3DS OoT remake with Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. That would have slapped. Skyward Sword's a fine game in of itself but it wasn't enough.

I enjoyed the previous Splatoons but I don't care enough for them to be hyped for Splatoon 3 but I do like the look of No More Heroes 3 and the Octopath Traveller successor (Project Triangle or something), although that segment went on for so long that I got annoyed with it.

I thought Pokemon's absence was strange since it's a anniversary year and they were announcing games for next year so it was odd they didn't announce anything for their typical November release.

I'm guessing they'll announce the collections that got leaked last year and the Diamond/Pearl remakes.
